Majolica Majorca & Canmake Nail Polish Swatches

Evening folks! So my friend from Singapore who sent me the Stage and Make Up Store polishes also sent me one from a company in China called Majolica Majorca and one from Japan called Canmake. My reviews are under the pics, which are taken in the sun with no top coat.

Glow Quick GR319 Majolica Majorca & Canmake Nail Polish Swatches
Velvet
Velvet comes from Majolica Majorca and isn’t it a pretty bottle (and yes it is mini)? I love the insignia. This color is fabulous, unlike anything I own. It totally reminds me of mermaids for some reason. It’s a teal/sea green with tons of light blue shimmer. The consistency was smooth but a little sheer so I needed three coats. I love, what do you think?

China Glaze Summer Days, Summer 2009

Even though it’s still winter for about 7 more weeks and then we have 3 months of spring to get through, I cannot resist showing you China Glaze’s Summer 2009 collection called Summer Days. It makes me JONES for the balmy hot days of summer. I want to BBQ and eat out side and drink cool lemonade in my backyard while my cats run around after birds….Ahhhhh summer. This collection is really great and features China Glaze’s “famous” jelly-like glass flecked effect, which is so unique and fabulous. As usual the polish was great and I had no application issues of any kind. Pics taken in sun & shade with no top coat.

Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Spring 2009

No Vampy Varnish Tuesday Poll today folks, I have something MUCH more fun! I am super excited about this Tracy Reese for Sally Hansen Limited Edition Spring 2009 collection because I happen to love ALL the colors, which never happens. Now I know that for a lot of you these are going to be really hard to find in your local drugstores. I too have lots of issues with these Tracy Reese colors. If you can’t find them after searching in a couple stores (wait until end of Feb/March as I believe this collection comes out then) I say write into the company and let them know your thoughts and frustrations. If enough of us write in, maybe they will finally listen!

Here is the company info:
Coty US LLC
410 American Road
Morris Plains, NJ 07950
Attn: Consumer Affairs
1-800-953-5080
Website

I am showing all these colors both in the sun and in the shade to try out something different. I apologize in advance for the reflections in the shade pics, it couldn’t really be helped, but it does give you a different view of the color.

Misa Nail Polish – Part I

What’s goin on? I am happy that today is already Thursday and the week is almost done! Today I’m bringing you some bright -ass polishes from Misa that recently joined my stash. These are not new, but I needed something to brighten up my day on this dreary rainy day (yes it’s now raining once again in the Bay Area as it should be). Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Misa Green With Envy Misa Nail Polish Part I
Green With Envy
This is BRIGHT people! The first coat or two I was thinking it made me look like I had Scurvy or some old world disease. But then by the third coat I kinda dug it. Make no mistake, this isn’t for the weak! The color is a neon based yellow/green creme and it went on like butta.

Carolyn New York Swatches – The Blues

It’s almost Friday folks! I am very excited because after today I do not have to be back at work until Jan 5th, yahoooo! Sorry for the lack of posting, but it’s been horrifically cold and/or rainy here in the Bay Area as of late and I can’t take any good pics indoors. I am sure a lot of you are thinking, yeah right horrifically cold, what like 55 degrees? No my friends, this morning and yesterday the temp was 29 at my house! I can hear some of you who live in places that get -30 snickering, but trust me that’s DAMN COLD for us! It actually snowed! So anyway today I am bringing you the LAST of the pics that are crappy, yay! I do have a bunch of new stuff coming in from Chanel, Dashing Diva & Carolyn New York as well as some older favs from butter LONDON, Sephora by OPI, China Glaze and Misa so fear not, as long as the weather cooperates, I will have more swatches soon. All these were taken in sun with no top coat.

Blue Skies Over The City
When I first saw this one I was thinking it looked more white than light blue. When you actually apply it though, it really is like a light blue sky. It has that *chalky* effect which I actually really like. It’s a creamy consistency but definitely needed three good coats because as most light polishes, it was a bit streaky at first.
