SpaRitual Water Collection for Spring 2012 Swatches & Review

SpaRitual Water SpaRitual Water Collection for Spring 2012 Swatches & Review

New for spring 2012 is SpaRitual’s Water collection.

This collection is a little special because SpaRitual is supporting an organization called Surge, which is a non-profit company that improves access to clean, safe water for communities around the world. 20% of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to Surge.

“The Water Collection represents the importance it has for our physical wellbeing (up to 70% of the human body is composed of water) and our emotional health (it’s a proven fact that water provides soothing benefits). Sadly, communities around the world lack access to clean drinking water,” says SpaRitual founder, Shel Pink. “We’re pleased to be involved with Surge, and to support the foundation’s efforts to help provide clean, safe drinking water worldwide.”

Aside from the fact that this is a really great cause, the collection has some amazing colors!

LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

LCN Croco Top LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

Hot on the heels of “crackle” polish comes something a little similar but WAY cooler! Croco Top!

LCN’s CrocoFever Croco Top nail polishes are a new special effect top coat that create a crackled effect, but in a reptilian skin pattern. They are definitely different than regular crackle in the way they break up and create the shape. I for one really love these because I am totally into the idea of wearing different textures on my nails. Nail art can be tricky and require artistic skill (which I am lacking) but special effect top coats like this are super easy to use.

You can buy CrocoFever in a starter set, which includes all four of the Croco Top colors as well as a base coat and top coat, or you can get the colors separately. The bottles are small, same size as their magnetic ones (8 ml).

The directions are fairly straighforward, but be sure to follow them completely to get the best effect.

Instructions:

  • Apply a base coat.
  • Apply one or two coats of your regular nail color .
  • Wait 4 minutes. No less no more! Nail polish needs to be slightly tacky for it to work. It won’t work if it’s too wet or dry.
  • Apply the Croco Top in quick, even strokes over your nail color. If you do thinner coats you will get a smaller reptilian effect, if you do thicker it will be larger.
  • The effect will take a minute or two to start working then will be complete in 5 minutes.
  • Apply a top coat.

Wet n Wild Limited Edition Ice Baby Collection for Holiday 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

Wet n Wild Ice Baby Wet n Wild Limited Edition Ice Baby Collection for Holiday 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

Ice Baby is the newest nail collection from Wet n Wild for holiday 2011. It’s limited edition and exclusive to Walgreens.

I know plenty of you have been on the lookout for this collection to no avail yet. But hang in there, hopefully you’ll find it soon!

This collection is comprised of eight new colors, all super glittery and sparkly (and not easy to remove, especially when you swatched them all at once). icon wink Wet n Wild Limited Edition Ice Baby Collection for Holiday 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

They don’t come in a full sized bottle, but rather a smaller 0.34 oz bottle. But at $2.99, they’re a steal!

I used three coats for all of these because I wanted as much coverage and glittery fabulousness as I could muster. They are definitely thicker when you apply that many coats, but not overly hard to work with.

Jesse’s Girl JulieG Nail Color Collection Swatches & Review

Jesses Girl JulieG Collection Jesses Girl JulieG Nail Color Collection Swatches & Review

Up until recently, I had never heard of the YouTube-r JulieG. In fact it wasn’t until Jesse’s Girl came out with a JulieG Collection that I heard of her. I know she does a lot of nail art so maybe that’s why she wasn’t on my radar, since you know me, I have zero patience for nail art. icon wink Jesses Girl JulieG Nail Color Collection Swatches & Review

The JulieG Collection consists of eight colors. Six of them are cremes and two are shimmers. The cremes are all in pretty basic colors such as peach, orange, pink, purple, blue and red-orange. None of those looked all that interesting or unique to me so I chose the two that stood out from the rest – Stiletto and Mermaid’s Lagoon.

Sephora by OPI Havana Nights Collection Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Good morning!

Today I’ve got the new Sephora by OPI colors for summer 2010. Well I have 4 out of 6 of them at least.

I have reviewed a lot of colors in this line by now and overall I really think the polish is pretty nice. I do wish they were less expensive and I am not fond of the bottle shape, but I can’t control everything I suppose.

The formula on these was pretty decent. I did have some clumping at the tip with one of them, but I think that was more my fault for applying too thick and fast rather than the polishes fault.

Read on!

Read My Palm

Read My Palm is yep, you got it, a mint green creme. What can I say, it’s pretty, flattering and opaque in two coats. It has a slightly dusty effect compared to some other mint greens I have. I love it. I think I am going to have to add this and yet another mint green I got yesterday to another mint green post soon!
