OCC Sci-Fi Lullabies is a new spring 2013 collection that features six new nail lacquer shades (and some Lip Tars, coming in another review). From metallic, to creme to shimmery they’ve got it covered and REALLY nicely I must say!

I was super impressed with nearly every single one here. Not only are the shades really awesome, but the coverage is fantastic. Nearly all of them could be one coaters! But I used two on most of them anyway.

And I have to say, I love how these bottles are thin and all line up so nicely. They take up much less space than other shapes.

OPI Euro Centrale for spring/summer 2013 is a collection of twelve new polishes created to celebrate the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania.

Nicole by OPI and Twentieth Century Fox recently collaborated to make the Modern Family collection, based on the hit ABC TV show. A show I’ve been watching since it started in fact!

This collection features fourteen new shades that run the gamut from cremes to glitters, from beige to blurple. All of them are named after characters on the show as well.

For most of these I had to use three coats to get the desired saturation. A couple were two coaters though. Quite a few had some streaking issues, mentioned below.

The year is not yet over but here I go choosing my favorite nail polish of 2012. There are a couple reasons for my early decision.

One is that since I did this, I cut all my nails down to super nubs knowing I wouldn’t be able to swatch for a bit. Then on top of the super nubs, my ring finger nail decided to break so it’s now a super, super nub. Nothing annoys me more than uneven nails, so I am still waiting for it to grow out to swatch other collections I am waiting on. I took these photos back in August.

But the second reason is that I honestly don’t think there will be another shade released this year that I love as much as Color Club Port-Folio.

Happy Monday morning!

Glitter Gal has six new Duo Chromes out and they are something to behold. These new polishes are very metallic and most have a really strong duo chrome effect. Actually some are multi chromes. You know those polishes that look totally cool in the bottle then not so much on the nail? These are nothing like that.

I have four of the six and loved them all. Because they are super subtle and sheer on their own, I swatched them all over two coats of a black creme. Each of them is just one coat over the black.
