Ozotic 533 and 520 Swatches, Photos & Review

Ozotic 533 and 520 Ozotic 533 and 520 Swatches, Photos & Review

Who has two more Picture Polish Ozotic colors for ya? This gal does!

Ozotic 533 is a multi-chrome with holographic shimmer. It leans mostly towards the blue/purple side. The linear holographic shimmer is very strong and really amazing with this one.

Ozotic 520 is a multi-chrome that changes from red to orange to brown. When using a flash you will only see red but under low light you see burnt orange and brown much better.

These are definitely best used over a black or dark base to bring out the multi-chrome goodness best. You really only need 1-2 coats over your base to get a perfect effect.

Speciallita Hits no Olimpo Collection Swatches & Review

Speciallita Hits no Olimpo Speciallita Hits no Olimpo Collection Swatches & Review

Welcome to the wonderful world of Speciallita nail polish. Speciallita is a brand that hails from Brazil, but never fear, they do ship to the US and other countries!

Otherwise what I have to show you today would just be cruel.

This collection is called Hits no Olimpo and it’s inspired by the Greek Olympian Gods and Goddesses. There are thirteen colors in the collection and all are holographics!

I found the formula to be pretty darn good with these. Some were a little more sheer than others (mainly the lighter colors) and I needed three coats. The darker ones covered mostly in just two coats. I did get a couple bottles with weird brushes. A few had brush pisces that were sticking out that I had to trim off, and one had a VERY wide flat brush, which was odd. Other than that, no issues.

LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

LCN Croco Top LCN CrocoFever Nail Polish Special Effect Swatches & Review

Hot on the heels of “crackle” polish comes something a little similar but WAY cooler! Croco Top!

LCN’s CrocoFever Croco Top nail polishes are a new special effect top coat that create a crackled effect, but in a reptilian skin pattern. They are definitely different than regular crackle in the way they break up and create the shape. I for one really love these because I am totally into the idea of wearing different textures on my nails. Nail art can be tricky and require artistic skill (which I am lacking) but special effect top coats like this are super easy to use.

You can buy CrocoFever in a starter set, which includes all four of the Croco Top colors as well as a base coat and top coat, or you can get the colors separately. The bottles are small, same size as their magnetic ones (8 ml).

The directions are fairly straighforward, but be sure to follow them completely to get the best effect.

Instructions:

  • Apply a base coat.
  • Apply one or two coats of your regular nail color .
  • Wait 4 minutes. No less no more! Nail polish needs to be slightly tacky for it to work. It won’t work if it’s too wet or dry.
  • Apply the Croco Top in quick, even strokes over your nail color. If you do thinner coats you will get a smaller reptilian effect, if you do thicker it will be larger.
  • The effect will take a minute or two to start working then will be complete in 5 minutes.
  • Apply a top coat.

Models Own Beetlejuice Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Models Own Beetlejuice1 Models Own Beetlejuice Collection Swatches, Photos & Review

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice is here!

As you know, there has been much hype over the Models Own Beetlejuice collection ever since they announced it a couple months ago. I think nearly every nail blogger I am connected to on Twitter got it along with lots of you guys. But does the hype live up to my expectations? Yes and no.

Let’s talk formula. Some of these felt a tiny bit on the thick side, but I didn’t have any problems working with them aside from a couple being a bit streaky. I did use three coats for all colors just because I want maximum payoff and coverage.

I do think the names could have been more interesting though. It seems like all the thought went into the collection name and color concept and then they had no energy left. Better, less generic names would have made the collection a little more special for me.

China Glaze Eye Candy China Glaze Eye Candy for Holiday 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

China Glaze Eye Candy for holiday 2011 is a new collection of six glitters.

Yep, glitters. Again. I feel like all I have swatched the last month are uber glittery nail polishes, and to be frank I have seen enough!

That’s not to say there aren’t some great ones here. I am just more of a shimmer kind of person. icon wink China Glaze Eye Candy for Holiday 2011 Swatches, Photos & Review

Coverage with these was really quite good. I used two coats for nearly all of them and was satisfied.
