Color Club has a huge new fall collection out called Untamed Luxury. It includes two sets of 7 polishes each; one called Indulgence and one called Diamond.

Today I have Indulgence for you since it was my favorite of the two.

This collection features some amazing cremes and shimmers and a frost for good measure.

The formula was totally outstanding as per usual with Color Club. Their polishes are always like BUTTAH!

Pretty In Platinum

Pretty In Platinum is a frosty silver/white. Wow this is a seriously hot white, it might be my favorite one now. It went on so opaque I barely even needed a second coat. It is a tiny bit streaky but nothing horrible.

Sonia Kashuk will soon be releasing a new holiday nail collection trio called Reach For The Stars for Target. Yes holiday, already…On that note, I wonder if most people understand that we are still in summer until September 23rd? It seems as though most people think summer ends in August, but it doesn’t! And yes, fall is end of September through end of December, even though a lot of people feel as though November/December are winter. THEN winter starts on December 22nd. Ok now that our 2nd grade lesson is out of the way…:)

Target is in fact the only place you can find this collection, so I am sorry if you fall in love and don’t have access to Target stores!

This is my first time trying out Sonia Kashuk nail colors and I am kind of disappointed. Let me clarify. The colors were beautiful, I loved all three. The brush quality was pretty bad though. All three of these brushes had wonky pieces that stuck out at weird angles. Also they felt really cheap and “plastic-y” when applying the polish. They did cover nicely in two coats.

Tarina Tarantino recently came out with a makeup collection at Sephora which now includes three limited edition nail colors. The nail collection is called Supernova and it drew me in the second I saw it online.

My first impression once I saw the bottles was, “meh”. I was a little disappointed with the bottles themselves. They look fairly standard and boring, and I would expect something a little more interesting from her. Also the tops are cheap, thin feeling plastic, which I definitely don’t love.

The formula on these is pretty pretty nice. They were all very opaque in two coats, and flowed really nice and smooth. Though a couple are metallics I didn’t have any streaking issues.

These aren’t big-three free, but are free of formaldehyde and toluene.

Empire

Empire is described as a peacock, but I would call it a light, shimmery ocean blue. This is a metallic shimmer, and nary a streak in sight. I really like this color, but I feel I already own it.

OPI Swiss for fall 2010 is here!

This collection is made up of twelve new colors. One half of the collection is shimmery metallics, and the other is cremes. Today I’ve got the shimmery (better half) of the collection for ya.

The formula on these was pretty nice. They were thick and I got good coverage after three coats for most (some were two).

NOTE: Vampy Varnish 3.0 is finished and should be live within a day or two. You might not see a post from me tomorrow or Wednesday, so don’t panic. I am trying to coordinate a time for the new site to go live, and since I am in the US and my web design company is in New Zealand, it’s a little tricky!

Glitzerland

Glitzerland is a C3PO gold metallic. I always think of C3PO when I see this color and that makes me happy. Love this gold because it’s not real warm, and suits my skin tone nicely. It’s got little flecks of other colors in it as well. This was two, very un-streaky coats.

Afternoon!

I have something special for you today! As you might have heard, Ulta did a limited edition 5 piece nail lacquer collection called Glam Goth. I am really glad I picked up a set…or FOUR recently

This is my first time using Ulta’s nail formula so I didn’t really have any expectations whatsoever. Turns out I was pretty pleased with them! They all applied really nicely and most of them were totally opaque in two coats.

For Bitten

For Bitten is a deep reddish/brownish/black with chunks of duochrome glitter. This one is highly unusual and gorgeous. It flashes so many different colors and it looks lit from within. LOVE! This was two coats.
