Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review – Part I

Shimmer Polish Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review Part I

Ladies and gents, today I’ve got some Shimmer Polish swatches for ya!

Shimmer Polish is an indie brand with quite a range of super glittery shades. Each polish is named after someone the creator knows personally. There are some pretty complex glitters here, each filled with tons and tons of sparkle, shapes and sizes. Some have clear bases, some are more full coverage with colored bases.

I found the formula with these to be really nice. You don’t have to shake them for a billion years to get them mixed up. You get a good amount of glitter with every coat, and it doesn’t move around or create blank spots with each coat. Most were three thin coats for me because my nail tips are always the hardest to get covered with glitters.

I’ve got quite a few of them so this is just part I for now!

Windestine Frozen Wilderness and Secret Garden Nail Polish Swatches

Windestine Secret Garden and Frozen Wilderness Windestine Frozen Wilderness and Secret Garden Nail Polish Swatches

Good morning!

This Tuesday AM I’ve got two shades from a brand called Windestine for ya. Windestine Frozen Wilderness and Secret Garden are glittery shades perfect for layering.

This is my first experience with the brand and I was impressed with these. I didn’t need to tear a rotator cuff shaking them up to get a good amount of glitter on the nail with each coat. One is suspended in a clear base so it’s definitely best layered but the other has a milky base, so it could be used on its own.

As an FYI, the shade Secret Garden has a version that comes with hearts in it, but I don’t have that one.

MAC Temperature Rising for Summer 2013 Swatches and Review

MAC Temperature Rising MAC Temperature Rising for Summer 2013 Swatches and Review

MAC Temperature Rising is new for summer 2013 and features a bevy of beautiful things in gorgeous bronze-colored packaging.

In fact one of my favorite things about this collection is the packaging. Not only is the color just perfect for sultry hot summer days and nights, but it feels like soft satin. Very pleasing to my grubby nubs!

So when you think of a summer collection you usually think of bronze and gold and taupe and warm shades, right? Maybe a pop of a bright shade here and there. This collection has a bit of everything! I was actually very impressed with the payoff of the eye shadow quads, and that my friends, hasn’t been the case in the last couple years in general!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pause and Turn It Around Swatches and Review

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pause and Turn It Around Rescue Beauty Lounge Pause and Turn It Around Swatches and Review

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pause and Turn It Around are two new shades from the Emoting Me collection for 2013.

This collection features seven new shades, but these were the two that really stood out to me as the most interesting and unique, so I snatched them up in the pre-sale.

The formula is pretty good, as with most RBL shades. Two to three thin coats works best for great results.
