Dashing Diva Manhattan Collection – Part II

As promised, here is part deux of the Dashing Diva Manhattan collection (until I order more that is). These are the more unusual and cool colors, I think. I truly love them all and I think you will see why. As mentioned in the other post, I had no application issues at all with these. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

West Village is a really chic looking caffe latte colored creme. It’s definitely not one of those basic beige neutrals that you see some companies spew out over & over every season. This one looks edgier and more “mushroomy”, which I love! This was three coats.

OPI South Beach for Spring 2009 – Part I

Today I am bringing you part 1 of my OPI South Beach swatches for spring 2009. The formula on all of these was fabulous, as almost all OPI’s are. I had not a single issue with cuticle drag, sheerness or bubbles. I have to say, the ones I am showing today are not my favs of this collection, those come in Part 2. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Sand In My Suit actually turned out to be nicer on me than I would have thought. The color is like a golden beige with gold shimmer and for a neutral color, I actually really liked it. I think it could work on either fair or dark skin tones. This was three coats to get it completely opaque.

Spa Ritual Cherish for Summer 2009

The Cherish collection for summer 2009 is my first experience with the Spa Ritual brand. I really like the bottle design, it’s unique and somehow very pleasing to hold. The bottle top has a “grippy” texture to it which makes the caps easy to open, especially when you have lotion slathered all over your hands. I didn’t have any application issues with these other than where mentioned below. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Borghese Nail Polish

Happy Saturday morning! I am up WAY earlier than usual this morning for some crazy reason. I’m excited because I am going to lunch in Napa with a friend today and it’s sunny and fabulous outside! Tomorrow I plan on spending ALL DAY swatching as many polishes as humanly possible smile Borghese Nail Polish Today I am bringing you some craptastic pics that I took last week in my light box. I decided to show them even though I don’t like ‘em because there is no way I am swatching all of these again! None of these are from their new collection, rather these are from early/mid 2008. A note about the formula. It was really nice on all of these, I had no issues. The cremes in particular were really nice to apply and fairly opaque. The brushes on Borghese polishes are flat and wide and I both like and don’t like that. I like it because it covers my whole nail almost in one swipe, but for my smaller nails, I have to be more careful so as to not get it all over the sides of my fingers also. Barielle Shades Spring 2009

TGIF! Barielle recently released their Spring 2009 collection, which is pretty tame but still pretty. You are not going to find any crazy, weird, odd, mind blowing colors in this collection, rather more professional and muted colors. I think of these colors as perfect for: the job interview, your cousin’s wedding and colors Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl would approve of. smile Barielle Shades Spring 2009 I didn’t have any application issues with these whatsoever. I am really happy that Barielle put out this new “Shades” collection of colors because they really are nice! All pics taken in sun & shade with no top coat.
