Happy Wednesday party people, how are ya? I’m chugging along this week, highly caffeinated and with a little “extra” crazy on the side. 😀
Today I’ve got some of the new theBalm Batter Up Long Wearing Eyeshadow Stick shades for you! These new shadow sticks come in eight shades and have a long wear, cream formula. They twist-up, so no need to sharpen. They are very nicely pigmented, super smooth and quite blendable. Of course you can also use them as a smudged out liner, not just an eye shadow.
Moonshot is a cool-toned champagne gold metallic.
Outfield is a mossy green with gold sparkles.
Pinch Hitter is a medium mauve metallic.
Dugout is a warm-toned medium brown with gold sparkles.
Slugger is a dark plum.
On their website they suggest applying them directly to the lid then smudging with a brush for a full coverage effect. If you want more of a wash of color, apply the product to a brush first then brush that onto your lids. Me? I like to apply them from the tube onto my lid and blend with my finger. That’s what us lazy gals who hate cleaning brushes do. 😉 You have some smudge/play time before they kind of set and you can’t work with them much more. Over a primer (which is how I wear ALL my eye makeup) they last without creasing all day long.
Lately these types of easy-to-use items are my go-to eye products because I am so damn lazy. I literally cannot spend even 10 minutes total on my makeup or I go nuts. So these are great for a quick color-fix! I do wish they were less expensive for the amount you get, but honestly, I cannot remember the last time I finished any eye product, so they will probably last me for all eternity (or until they dry out)!
You can find these on theBalm website and they are $17.00 each for 0.06 oz.
Are you going to try these out or are you passing?
