Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Body

Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Body

Happy Thursday morning folks!

As promised, today I’ve got the lovely Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Body to share with you. Unlike the Soul palette which I shared the other day, this one is mostly about cool-toned shades. This one has a rose gold lid and yellow gold base, and also includes twelve shadows and a large mirror. Also included is a booklet showing you three looks you can create with these colors.

In this palette most of the finishes are shimmery or have some kind of sheen. There is only one matte. But that’s ok with me because I found them to be so pretty I wasn’t really missing more mattes! There is a good mix of light and dark shades so you could create a more subdued look or seriously smoke it up if you wanted.

Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Soul

Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Soul

Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette Soul is one of four new palettes for fall 2014 being offered at Sephora and Ulta right now.

The four palettes are based on the idea that true beauty is revealed from within. The palettes include Soul, Body, Spirit and Mind, and each one includes twelve different eyeshadow shades inside either a yellow, rose or white gold shiny compact. Each palette includes a large mirror as well as a booklet featuring three looks using the shades within the palette.

I had a really hard time choosing which of these palettes I wanted to take home with me. This is the first one that jumped out at me because of the gorgeous-looking shimmery shades. The other one I decided on (which I will review soon) was Body because it features a lot of cool toned shadow. And just for your information, Mind features a mix of cool and warm-toned matte shadows and Spirit features mostly warm-toned shimmers.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner

Listen up! There are some new shades in the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner line for spring 2014!

Smudge Sticks now come in 31 shades and various finishes such as matte, pop and shimmer. These liners are very creamy because they have silica, waxes and vitamin E to help them glide on without any tugging. They have a waterproof formula that helps them stay on nicely all day long.

The pencils twist-up with no need for sharpening, but please note, you can’t retract them once they’ve been twisted up! You can use these as both an eye liner or smudge them out to be used as an eye shadow.

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow for Spring 2014

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadows now come in more shades for spring 2014!

These eye shadows have a metallic yet creamy formula. There are nineteen shades now, some exclusive to Ulta. The new spring shades are:

  • Metallic Jade – golden emerald green
  • Metallic Violet – glistening violet shimmer
  • Metallic Lilac – soft lilac luster
  • Metallic Golden Pink – pink with golden shimmer
  • Metallic Rose Quartz – soft pink with silver sheen
  • Metallic Gilded Gold – golden bronze luster
  • Metallic Pixie Dust – irridescent white gold
  • Metallic Peach – soft peach shimmer

With these shadows you can get either a light wash of color or a deeper, more intense one depending on how much you layer them. Each one includes a Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer and a mixing tray.

So here’s what you do. You scoop out a little bit of the eye shadow into the tray. Then add a drop of the mixing primer. You mix them together and then apply the shadow. You can either use a brush or your finger, which I always find easier with this sort of thing. You can keep adding layers to build up the intensity.
