Sigma Creme De Couture is a such a pretty little eye shadow palette. It’s inspired by macaron’s and I found it pretty hard to resist. So I recently bit the bullet and ordered it.
Confession: I have never ever in my life had a macaron. I always thought they were these dry horrible little styrofoam pastries, so I avoided them. It’s only recently I have learned I was completely wrong. But still, I always choose the cupcake over the macaron if given a choice. 😉
This pretty palette is filled with sixteen matte pastel eye shadow shades and a handy dandy “menu” of sorts.
Redberry Rose is a bright hot pink.
Apricot Flower is a soft peach.
Meyer Lemon is a pale pastel yellow.
Ginger Pumpkin is a medium orange.
Passion Fruit is a medium mauve.
Cherry Blossom is a light pink.
Cafe Au Lait is a warm brown.
Blueberry Cream is a pale light blue.
Violet Whip is a pale lilac.
Lavender Honey is a pink/purple.
Blue Chocolat is a light aqua.
Almond Pear is a pale celadon green.
Cassis is a bright purple.
Elderberry is a deep grape purple.
Creme De Menthe is a sea green.
Citron Pistachio is a bright lime green.
Ok you can probably tell now that you’ve seen all these swatches over a primer that they aren’t all exactly smooth and even looking. Many were uneven and powdery. The lighter shades tended to be the most chalky looking with the exception of Cassis, which was also very uneven for me. They are soft and you can blend them out and build them up a bit though, which is great.
Overall: I have yet to try these on my eyes to see how the patchiness works out (or doesn’t). I have seen a few looks from other people using them that turned out gorgeous though, so I am excited to try my hand at them.
What do you think about this palette? Too pastel for ya, or right up your alley?
