You know that moment when you see a product and you don’t even care what’s inside because the packaging is so cute? And you know how no matter how hard you try to resist, it’s futile? And you know when you pick it up, then put it back down trying to convince yourself you don’t really need it, that you will be putting it back in your basket?
Except for me the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush and Touch Of Glow wound up being great inside as well as outside!
But really, isn’t the packaging cute? It looks like that MAC holiday collection from awhile back. Pink and rose gold, you have my number.
Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush comes in two shades: Rose and Natural. There are four shades within each one with a shimmery champagne overspray on the stamped words “Nude Wear”. This does basically disappear after you swipe over it once. All you do to apply it is sweep a powder brush over the shades and apply to cheeks.
I didn’t photograph it, but like many of the PF blushes, these have an applicator and mirror in the bottom compartment.
Nude Wear Touch Of Glow comes in just one shade called Nude Glow. It’s a concealer/highlighter in one and comes in a pen style applicator which you turn to “activate”.
Rose is a shimmery pink shade overall.
Natural is a peachy/pink shade overall.
As mentioned, the overspray does disappear rather quickly but that’s no biggie for me. The blushes are super soft and very pigmented. Both are gorgeous colors and very spring-like.
I wasn’t sure Nude Glow would work with my skin tone but turns out it does! It’s a light/medium warm shade and as a concealer it does a nice job of covering dark areas. Happily the pen didn’t take a million years to activate either. Just about 10 clicks and it gets going. Not too much comes out at once either which is nice.
Overall: Turns out these weren’t just a pretty package! I really like both blush shades and will definitely be using them this spring. The concealer has a nice formula and the shade worked nicely for me, however it probably won’t work for everyone.
Availability: Rite Aid.
Pricing: Both retail for $12.95, but there are always coupons to watch out for!
Will you be on the hunt for any of these products?
