OPI Go Goth Nail Collection for Halloween 2010 Swatches & Review

OPI Go Goth OPI Go Goth Nail Collection for Halloween 2010 Swatches & Review

OPI wants us to Go Goth this Halloween with their mini-set of four dark, vampy nail lacquers.

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year so I am always happy to check out what cute collections are out.

Mini bottles aren’t my favorite because they are hard to work with. What do I have hamster hands? :) But I do love all these colors even though they all have dupes or close-to-dupes for them.

The formula was decent, no issues really. They all managed to cover nicely in two coats.

OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review – Part II

What’s up!

Today I’ve got the second half of the OPI Swiss collection for fall 2010. This is made up of 6 creme colors, 4 of which are reds…Having said that I must confess: red looks good on me! As much as I am disinterested in most reds when I first see them, it almost always happens that they wind up complimenting my skin tone. Go figure.

I must say that the first half was much more interesting to me both because the colors were more my type and I favor shimmers. But there were a couple in here I really like also.

The formula on these was great, not a single issue whatsoever. They totally flowed smoothly, nicely, and all were just two coats.

Color So Hot It Berns

Color So Hot It Berns is a bright, cool, poppy red. These kinds of reds always amaze me when I put them on because they look…so…darn…good! But I DO have a bunch like this so it’s nothing I haven’t seen before.

OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review – Part I

OPI Swiss for fall 2010 is here!

This collection is made up of twelve new colors. One half of the collection is shimmery metallics, and the other is cremes. Today I’ve got the shimmery (better half) of the collection for ya.

The formula on these was pretty nice. They were thick and I got good coverage after three coats for most (some were two).

NOTE: Vampy Varnish 3.0 is finished and should be live within a day or two. You might not see a post from me tomorrow or Wednesday, so don’t panic. I am trying to coordinate a time for the new site to go live, and since I am in the US and my web design company is in New Zealand, it’s a little tricky!

Glitzerland

Glitzerland is a C3PO gold metallic. I always think of C3PO when I see this color and that makes me happy. Love this gold because it’s not real warm, and suits my skin tone nicely. It’s got little flecks of other colors in it as well. This was two, very un-streaky coats.

OPI Summer Flutter Collection Swatches & Review

Hiya folks!

OPI has a new summer collection out called Summer Flutter and I’ve got them for you today.

I was pretty pleased with these because they were a little different from what I would expect of OPI for summer. In other words, more interesting than normal!

Having said that though I was a little disappointed after I actually applied them. A few of the “more interesting” ones didn’t live up to my expectations from the bottles.

The formula was fine, if not a little thick. They were all two coaters except one.

Read on!

Flower-To-Flower

Flower-To-Flower is a creamy pink with very subdued silvery shimmer. I am in love with this color! Seriously I know it’s like a Barbie pink, but it went on so smooth and nice, and I love the shimmer. I wore this one already and I really do love it. Perfect for summer! This was two coats.

OPI Shrek Forever After Giveaway!

OPI Shrek Mini 300x294 OPI Shrek Forever After Giveaway!

What’s up?

Yep, I am up to my tricks again and this time I am giving away something really fun to FOUR lucky people!

This giveaway was kind of inspired by the whole OPI debacle with many of our beloved e-tailers. In case you haven’t heard, OPI has asked them to remove their products from being sold in their online stores. Honestly, I can see both sides of this, and am not going to get involved in the politics here. BUT I do know that now it’s going to be harder for people to get their hands on OPI products (or a lot more expensive at least), so I figured I would help you out a little.

The details:

I am giving away 4 sets of the OPI Shrek Forever After Mini collection to 4 different winners. This set includes mini bottles of the colors in the picture above which are: What’s With The Cattitude?, Rumple Wiggins, Who The Shrek Are You? and Fiercely Fiona.

If you want to see my full swatches & review of this collection you can view it here.

WHO: Anyone can enter and I especially encourage International folks since OPI is so expensive where you live!

WHAT: 4 mini OPI Shrek Forever After sets

WHEN: Open now until Sunday, May 30th at 11:59 pm, PST

WHY: Because I can :)

HOW: There are THREE (yes three) ways you can enter (but please only enter one time each way for a max of three entries)

  • Leave a comment here on what your favorite OPI color of all time is
  • Subscribe to my YouTube channel here. Those who are already subscribed are automatically entered
  • Follow me on Twitter @VampyVarnish and re-tweet (RT) the following: Follow @VampyVarnish and RT to win OPI Shrek Forever After Mini Set http://tinyurl.com/3yovk9w

I will choose the 4 (random) winners on May 31st and contact them via email. Please understand you only have 72 hours to respond if you are contacted before I have to pick another winner.

Good luck!
