Happy Thursday! As promised, today I am bringing you part 2 of my drugstore nail polish swatches. I found a new (and very cheap) brand that I had never seen before which is called CQ. It’s in these really cute bottles and seemed pretty decent. I also saw some nice Borghese ones that I wanted to try which are more expensive at around $8.00 each. And finally a cool looking metallic from NYC. All of these were found at my local Rite Aid. All pictures taken in sunlight with no top coat.
CG – Silver Taupe
CQ – Shimmering Bark
Now this one is the one I really liked! This too took three coats and was fairly sheer at first, but then turned into this really pretty pink/brown color with lots of shimmer. STOP THE PRESSES! I just discovered that Steph on Steph’s Closet also swatched this same color but under a different brand name which is Petite’s. It must be the same right?
Borghese – I cannot remember the name and don’t have it handy!
Ok so once again I can’t remember the name of this but will update when I get home. Personally I liked it better in the bottle than on my hands. It was just too medium colored for me. It’s a really pretty cranberry color with a lot of pink/red shimmer. Went on very nicely and this is two coats here.
Borghese – Notte Black
NYC – Molton Metal
Vamp it up!
