I was really excited to try out the eyeshadow palette in particular because it just looks so darn gorgeous! It looks super soft and super pigmented and perfect. Sadly, my experience with it wasn’t what I had hoped. Most of the shadows do not feel very soft, they actually feel kind of gritty and hard-ish. I had to rub most of them quite a few times to pick up a really good amount of color. So the pigmentation wasn’t exactly what I had hoped. That’s not to say they were awful at all, they just weren’t quite as amazing as I hoped. There were some matte ones which were chalky and I didn’t love and they were shades IV and X. And be careful of X (peacock blue) because it left a faint stain on my finger and hand after swatching. The ones I did think were pretty nice especially were III, VI, VII, XI and XII.
The cheek palette wound up being a little better in my eyes than the eyeshadow one. These seemed not as gritty a texture as the eyeshadows, and I got excellent pigmentation from most of them. I personally wouldn’t ever use the Palmoa Contour Blushes or Laguna Bronzing Powder, however the last 4 blushes are all gorgeous colors and had great pigmentation.
What do you say to these two palettes? A go or pass from you?
