MAC In The Buff Nail Lacquer Swatches & Review

Hey there!

This is just a quick and dirty review of MAC’s new color called In The Buff, which is part of the To The Beach collection. There is another color called Scorcher which I think is a coral creme. It didn’t appeal to me so I didn’t buy it.

Here goes!

In The Buff

In The Buff is a camel/putty colored creme. Some people were calling it avocado green, which I don’t agree with at all. It much more camel, or brownish to me than green, but I do see some green in it. Someone mentioned that this might be similar to Kelly’s Green from BB Couture, but as you can see here, they are very different. Mine is what I think of as a true avocado green. I really liked this when I saw it online on other people, but I have to say I’m not really loving it so much on myself. I thought it would be this great, “weird-ugly” color, but it turns out with my skin it just kinda looks ugly. Sigh. Maybe I’ll give it a go later, but right now I’m not feeling it.

The formula was really nice, I think they are finally getting the hint! It went on very smooth in thin even coats, and I only needed two for full opacity.

How are you feeling about this one?

MAC Give Me Liberty Of London Blue India Nail Lacquer Swatches & Review

TGIAF! (Thank god it’s almost Friday!)

I’m sure you have already seen it so this will be brief.

I’ve got MAC Blue India today, which is part of the Give Me Liberty of London collection. They also had one called Vestral White, but I saw plenty of crappy swatches of that one, so didn’t buy it. Too streaky for me!

The formula on this was very nice. It was super opaque in almost one coat but I used two for good measure.

Blue India

And here she is. She’s a dark blue teal creme. Very unlike all the recent teals we have seen, which of course is always good. I like it a lot but for some reason I don’t love it. I dunno, maybe because there has been so much hype about it. I almost like the logo more than the polish itself. I have to throw this in for the record that I got a bunch of the eye shadows and lipsticks from this collection and I like those WAY more than this. The lipsticks Petals & Peacocks and Blooming Lovely are simply amazing!

Overall I give this a B grade, but for me it just wasn’t quite as great as I thought it would be.

You can find this at MAC online (it’s sold out at the moment though) and in stores now and it’s $12.00.

MAC Light Affair Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

Mac Light Affair MAC Light Affair Nail Lacquer Swatches and ReviewAfternoon!

MAC recently came out with a collection called Love Lace, and Light Affair was the nail polish from this collection.

The formula wasn’t as thick and awful as I had expected it to be. I say that because normally their light creme colors are really thick and apply unevenly. This actually applied pretty nicely, and I only needed two coats. I can’t speak as to how long it wears though because I only swatched it. Check it out.

MAC Magic, Mirth, and Mischief Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

Good morning!

Today I have two colors by MAC from their holiday collection called Magic, Mirth, and Mischief. One is a re-release and one is brand spankin’ new.

These are both metallics, and the formula is pretty streaky. They can be totally opaque in just one coat though and they dry super fast. When applying, be careful to only wipe once down the nail for the middle and each side, and use a thin coat.

FYI these pics were taken on a cloudy day so they aren’t the greatest. Take a peek.

$$$$$ Yes

$$$$$ Yes is a silver metallic. Honestly nothing that exciting here, I feel as though we all have a silver like this by now, though it’s still nice. This is the one that’s a re-release.
