The Dermelect Bejeweled Collection for fall/winter 2014 is a nod to the rich, jewel-toned shades of the cooler months.
This collection includes Gilded that has a textured patina, Heirloom that has a metallic royal sapphire finish, Lustrous which is a sparkling cognac and Belle Epoque which is a deep brown creme.
The collection which retails between $14-16.00 each is available now on their site as well as apothecaries, beauty boutiques, salons and spas.
Gilded is a golden/green/bronze duochrome with a sparkly, sugar-like texture. I know some of you won’t like this because of the texture, but I think it’s really unique as far as textured shades go. I love the overall bronze/gold look it has. This was two thin coats and it dries rather quickly.
Heirloom is a rich sapphire/purple with shimmer. In the bottle it looks very purple but on the nail you see the indigo shade much more. It had an excellent, creamy formula and covered in two coats.
Lustrous is a rich red cognac with major gold and red sparkle. I didn’t think this was going to be a shade I would like judging just from the way it looked in the bottle, but I am in lust with it! It’s so sparkly and jewel-toned. Perfect for fall. This did give me some cuticle drag on two nails for some reason so I used three thin coats.
Belle Epoque is a super dark brown creme. This was another one I wasn’t too sure about in the bottle, but on the nail it’s quite lovely. It’s very deep, very pigmented and shiny. It nearly looks black, but not quite. It covered for me just beautifully in two coats.
