The Cirque Colors Metropolis Collection for December 2014 features two new shades which happen to also be perfect for the holidays!
As mentioned in my other Cirque Metropolis posts, these shades are coming out once a month and represent the fabulous city of New York. Well I am assuming it’s fabulous because sadly, I have never been there. Can you believe it? The closest I have ever gotten to NY is the Toronto airport or Orlando, Florida. I have been dying to go there for a good 20 years. One day, one day.
Tavern on the Teal is a medium cool-toned teal green creme. Obviously this is a play on Tavern on the Green, the famous restaurant in Central Park. I really like this shade because it’s not a very common teal for nail polish. Most of my teal cremes are either more blue, more green or brighter. This has a subtle, muted effect and it’s very nice. The formula was great and it only took two coats to cover.
The Devil Wears Cirque is a medium bright red creme. And of course this is a play on The Devil Wears Prada, which is one of my favorite movies (and books). You could call this a classic red shade. It’s super shiny, has a perfect formula and is also a great holiday red.
Do you like to wear “classic” Christmas colors during the holidays or do you do something different on your nails?
