butter LONDON Lippy is a new line of lip glosses that come in coordinating shades to their nail lacquers.

Currently there are five shades being offered: Primrose Hill, Picnic, Teddy Girl, Trout Pout, Snog and Yummy Mummy.

These aren’t your typical light moisturizing glosses though. These are hard-core thick lacquer-like long-wearing glosses. They feel a bit like shellacking your lips to be honest! They also have a somewhat strong watermelon scent, which isn’t my favorite.

The wand is a nice slanted sponge-type.

Hallo!

butter LONDON (I don’t know why I am always compelled to write it the way they have it on their bottles) has a new spring/summer collection out featuring five new shades!

I checked out four of the five (the one missing is Slapper, a bright teal creme) and I really like them! Interesting colors, not very common and really good formula for all.

Trout Pout

Trout Pout is a pale cantaloupe/coral creme. Honestly I didn’t think much of this one in the bottle but absolutely love it on my nails. It’s not pink, It’s not peach. It’s not orange. It’s not coral. It’s a perfect mix of them all and super spring-like and flattering. Great formula, just two coats. I adore it.

butter LONDON’s fall 2011 collection includes both Wallis & Bluey, two colors who nearly escaped my grasp!

Wallis is actually a color I had in my online shopping cart a few weeks ago at Nordstrom, but then I browsed around too long and it sold out in the meanwhile! That’s what I get for lollygagging. But last weekend I was in Nordstrom and going down the escalator I saw right at the landing a display of butter LONDON polish. Good planning on their part because there was no way I could just walk by without looking. I saw Wallis and grabbed it fast! Then I saw Bluey and decided she was worth it as well.

butter LONDON Fall 2010 Collection Swatches & Review

butter LONDON’s new fall collection for 2010 is a tribute to the late, great, fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

Obviously I didn’t know the man, but have been reading fashion magazines for most of my life, and was well aware of his unique and quirky style. I think a few of these nail colors definitely match that same vibe that he gave off with his clothing line. Oh and did I mention one of my all-time favorite MAC Lipglasses is one that he created with them? Yep it’s called White Magic and sadly, I am running out of my back-up tube!

This collection includes five colors, four of which I have to show you today. The one I don’t have is called Old Blighty and it’s a brick red creme.

The formula on these was really quite awesome. They had great coverage and nary a streak in sight, even with the yellow one!

Victoriana

Victoriana is a vintage looking type blue with loads silver shimmer. This is a really gorgeous, amazing blue, and the second I applied it, I fell in love. It’s VERY opaque also, you could almost do one coat. I have nothing else like this color. This was two coats.
