Jillian Dempsey for Avon recently came out with a Professional Color Corrector Palette.
This palette contains 4 shades, all designed to correct various under-eye issues.
It comes in both a Light and Dark version and the one I have is Light.
The Lilac color helps give you a glow and brighten your under-eye area.
The Pink color helps to hide imperfections and dark circles.
The Apricot color is supposed to brighten dull complexions and warm up olive and yellow complexions.
The Yellow color counteracts any redness .
The compact it comes in is plastic and it feels a little on the cheap and flimsy side to me, like if it was dropped it would shatter. It’s made of a lightweight plastic.
It does come with a small applicator brush which is fairly soft, but probably not one I would use much.
Lilac, Pink, Apricot, Yellow
All of these colors are very light and on the sheer and thin side. You don’t get a ton of coverage with them and they don’t really build up much.
The Lilac and Pink did help somewhat in brightening my darker under-eye area, but not as much as a thicker formula (like MAC or Bobbi Brown) does.
I also tried out the Apricot color (I have yellow undertones in my skin) and it helped a little, but again was fairly sheer.
The good thing about these being sheer is that they don’t feel heavy and don’t really settle into fine lines. But they didn’t help much with my under-eye issues either.
This palette didn’t really work for me as much as I had hoped. I love the idea of having 4 colors in one palette to correct a variety or issues, but they were too sheer to do much good for me. The pricing is really pretty good though so if you aren’t looking for heavier coverage this might work for you.
