The Anastasia Tamanna Palette for fall 2014 was designed with makeup artist Tamanna Roashan.
Call me clueless but I had never heard of her until this palette came out. That’s ok though because there are so many makeup people blogging, YouTubing and Instagramming there is no way one could keep up with them all!
This palette of 10 shades was inspired by a makeup masterclass on East Asian bridal makeup taught by Tamanna at the Anastasia Beverly Hills Salon. Most of the shades are warm-toned, but you will find a few cooler ones. There are mattes and shimmers, and they can be worn wet or dry. The palette also comes with a mirror, five “Get The Look” cards and a dual-ended eyeshadow brush.
Fresh is a pale nude/pink matte.
Blush is a light shimmery pink/champagne.
Venezia is a medium shimmery blue.
Gilded is a medium bronze metallic.
Custom is a medium mauve/brown metallic.
Sangria is a rich red/purple metallic.
Bengal is a medium warm-clay colored matte.
Chocolate is a dark warm-toned brown matte.
China Rose is a medium peachy shimmer.
Noir is a jet black matte.
Aside from Noir, which seemed a little patchy and hard to blend, the colors were all very soft and gave me really good payoff. I like that there are light, medium and dark mattes, as well as other finishes. I think you could create a wide variety of looks from these shades including natural ones to really exotic smoked out ones. I don’t think anything here is necessarily unique as far as eyeshadow shades go though.
