Sephora has these nifty little Ultra Vinyl Lip Pencils out in a variety of colors and since I have been on a lip pencil kick lately (see here and here), I decided to pick up a few with the F&F sale they recently had.

I haven’t tried that many Sephora brand products and I’m not sure why. I think I assume they are “lesser” quality because they are the store’s own brand, but clearly that doesn’t always ring true.

These babies are jumbo sized pencils that are a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss. Oh also of course it’s kind of a lip liner as well since they are pencils and easy to control.

They have the opacity and coverage of a lipstick, but leave a nice shiny finish like a lip gloss. They are very smooth going on and feel very moisturizing.

Currently they offer eight different colors.

So remember last week I showed you some metallic nail polish from Sephora? Well today I am showing you the three glitter polishes I got. Overall I was not at all impressed with these. The polish was thick and stringy and it’s so hard to work with mini brushes, especially when the polish is gloopy. A couple of the colors were ok, but nothing to write home about for me. Sephora has recently come out with a line of mini nail polishes and included in their new collection are some metallics. The formula on these was kind of hit or miss. Some were great but some seemed thick and almost stringy. However all the colors I tried turned out to be pretty great colors! I must say I loathe mini bottles, I find them useless to be honest. They are hard to hold, the wands are so short that it makes the application that much more difficult. Plus two of these I loved so much I want FULL bottles! Are you listening Sephora? Fusion is a really cool gold metallic that looks like my nails were dipped in gold leaf or something. This one was thick and stringy but the color was great nonetheless. This was only two coats as it’s pretty opaque.
