Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Lip Topcoat

Why hello there and happy first day of spring! Sorry it’s been a bit quiet over here the last couple of weeks. I’ve been doing some personal stuff and haven’t been able to get to blogging. But am back at it now!

Today I’ve got the Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Lip Topcoat for you. There are twelve shades in this collection, in both a glitter and metallic formula. Most of these are shade-shifter glitters with a slight tingly feel to them. It goes away pretty quickly and is very mild. They seem to have the same thin, kind of dry formula that their new Vice Liquid Lipsticks have, and I wasn’t really a huge fan of those. However considering most people would probably wear these as just a fun topcoat rather than on their own, they are kind of cool looking!

Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Lip Topcoat

White Lie, Litter, 3rd Degree, Fever, Copycat, Seether

White Lie is an iridescent white with blue/violet shift.

Litter is a iridescent glitter.

3rd Degree is a gold glitter.

Fever is a pink/red with green 3D sparkle and shift.

Copycat is a pink with iridescent glitter.

Seether is a metallic red/orange with gold glitter.

Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Lip Topcoat

Bruja, Monarchy, Reverb, Circuit, Ritual

Bruja is a berry red with gold pearl.

Monarchy is a bright purple with pink and blue sparkles.

Reverb is a purple with shifty pink/gold sparkles.

Circuit is a smoked out green with iridescent sparkles.

Ritual is a smoked out blue/grey with iridescent 3D sparkles.

White Lie over Obsessed Lipstick

Reverb over Bittersweet Lipstick

Fever over Bang Lipstick

And there you have it! Like I mentioned above, these have a pretty dry, non-moisturizing texture, despite them supposedly having “Marine Filling Spheres” in them which help with moisture. They don’t apply super evenly but since they aren’t really meant to be fully opaque, it’s not that big a deal to me. My favorite ones are White Lie, Litter, Monarchy, Reverb, Ritual and Fever. I have a feeling that UD will be reformulating (or discontinuing) their Vice Liquid Lipsticks and maybe these at some point going forward since they aren’t the best texture.

You can find Urban Decay Vice Special Effects Lip Topcoat available this month on their site and at Sephora, Ulta and select Macy’s and they are $18.00 each. I am not sure if these are LE or not, the press release didn’t say.

Are you going to check any of these out?
