Hello and a happy Tuesday to you!
Today I have the MAC Make-up Art Cosmetics Collection for spring/summer 2017. This colour collection is kind of a three-in-one collection, featuring pieces from three major makeup artists: Diane Kendal, James Kaliadros and Kabuki. Each of these artists came up with their own unique shades of different products and it’s a pretty fun looking collection.
So without further ado, let’s checkout the MAC Make-up Art Cosmetics Collection!
Letty Lynton is a white pearl with white reflects.
Heaven Loves You is a gold pearl with gold reflects.
Humoresque is a light burgundy pearl with light pink pearl.
Last Dance is a light pink pearl with duochrome violet reflects.
Cracked Emerald is a bright matte green.
Win is a bright matte indigo.
Tricolour Lip Gloss Stratagloss Opalite is a sheer, light peachy pink with gold and blue reflects.
Retro Matte This Modern Age is a medium stone grey.
Retro Matte Flamingo Road is a purple magenta.
Light Touch is a light pink frost pearl.
Black Grape is a deep aubergine frost with multi-pearl
Almondine is a rose pink (lustre).
Coral Bliss is a light coral (cremesheen).
Bloodstone is a blue-based bright red (amplified).
Jasper is a dark reddish/brown (satin).
Flourish Me Vibrant is a bright teal.
Flourish Me Bold is a bright indigo blue.
Flourish Me Deep is a rich black.
Lots of great stuff here, methinks. Now I’ll be honest and say I am not a huge fan of either the The Shining Hour palette or the Pressed Pigments because they are so super shimmery, and that’s just not my thing. They are however still really pretty and nicely pigmented, but beware of fallout. I love the Paints, I actually still have some of the original Paints that came out in the late 90’s (??) and they are still creamy and nice. These two shades are super bold, bright and intense. The Retro Matte colors are both really good and I love them so much. This Modern Age is very much a “corpse” color, so I am guessing a lot of people won’t love that one, but I do! Flamingo Road is a really pretty vivid shade that is more wearable. The Tricolour Gloss isn’t quite as cool as I had hoped. Really it just looks like a super pale pink that is nearly invisible. The Lipsticks don’t really blow me away, nothing seems very unique though they are all nice shades. I do really like the Kajal Crayons because they are a fun shape, pretty colors, creamy, easy to apply and nicely pigmented.
The MAC Make-up Art Cosmetics Collection will be available online and in stores from January 19th through February 16th.
