The Contrary Polish Playing With Fire Collection is brand new and features four new shades inspired by…fire!
As with most Contrary Polish shades, these are either a jelly or shimmery formula (or both!) and each one covered in two to three coats flawlessly! I really love Contrary Polish because they manage to get such amazing depth in their polishes and the shimmers are always so complex.
Sparks is an ivory jelly with various sized gold holo micro-glitter and gold chrome flake glitter. This is three thin coats.
Flames is a red jelly with copper, red and copper-to-red shimmer, micro-flakes and flake glitter. This is two coats.
Ashes is a medium matte grey with silvery shimmer. You can make it shiny with a top coat. This is two coats.
Embers is a deep greyed/brown with reddish orange glass-fleck shimmer. This is two coats.
Aren’t these so pretty and unique? I love all of them for various reasons. Sparks is definitely a really unique shade and I am really digging the various glitter shades inside. Ashes is really nice either as a matte or shined up. The silvery sparkles show up either way though. Flames is named perfectly because it really looks like a red hot flaming shade with gorgeous shimmer. Embers is probably my favorite one because I love a dark color with that lit-from-within shimmer. It glows!
You can find the Contrary Polish Playing With Fire Collection on their site (or from their stockists) and they are $5.00-$10.00 each (depending on size). That’s another great thing about the brand is you can get a smaller size if you don’t want a full-sized bottle.
Which of these shades are you liking?
