Deborah Lippmann Summer 2015 Collection Painted Desert

Deborah Lippmann Summer 2015 Painted Desert is a new collection featuring four earthy creme shades.

This collection was inspired by the Sahara desert and the rich but neutral colors there. These are full coverage with just two coats and have an excellent formula.

Deborah Lippmann Shifting Sands

Shifting Sands

Shifting Sands is a light khaki/sand color. This is probably the least “unique” shade here but it looks nice, had a great formula and fits in perfectly with the collection.

Deborah Lippmann Terra Nova

Terra Nova

Terra Nova is a warm caramel shade. This is a unique and kind of strange shade, which means I love it! It’s like a deep caramel with hints of mustard yellow.

Deborah Lippmann Desert Moon

Desert Moon

Desert Moon is a rich grey shade. This color is really pretty and leans towards a greenish grey in some lighting. Very pretty.

Deborah Lippmann Love In The Dunes

Love In The Dunes

Love In The Dunes is a purple mauve shade. I love this color it’s so muted and rich looking.

Deborah Lippmann Summer 2015 Painted Desert

I have no issue with these colors not being your typical summer brights. I think the idea of the Sahara in the summer is a perfect and unexpected collection idea. I don’t wear only brights in the summer anyway, I wear what my mood dictates not fashion trends dictate. My personal favorites are Terra Nova and Desert Moon but I also love Love In The Dunes.

You can find this collection starting May 15th at Deborah Lippmann, Nordstrom, Sephora, Bloomingdale’s and Barney’s New York and they are $18.00 each.

How are you feeling about these kinds of shades for summer?
