Crebtree & Evelyn The Nud-est Collection

This afternoon I have something I’ll wager you haven’t heard of – The Crabtree & Evelyn The Nud-est Collection.

Yep it’s true, the 40 year old skincare brand now has nail lacquer! This collection, as the name implies, is all about pale nudes. Their lacquer is 4-free and (I believe) cruelty-free. They currently have about 30 shades in their new line as well as a base/top coat. And here’s the other good news. They are only $6.00! That’s pretty darn good I think.

One of these bottles arrived to me completely broken but I actually managed to swatch it before I tossed it, so I have swatches but no bottle shots.

Crabtree & Evelyn The Nud-est Collection

Alabaster, Peaches & Cream, Mocha ($6)

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer Alabaster

Alabaster is a sheer ivory. They say it has a hint of shimmer, but I don’t see it. I should have swatched this over a ridge-filling base coat because it probably would have looked more even that way. As it is, it’s not completely even, and I did use three coats to get it as opaque as I wanted.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer Peaches & Cream

Peaches & Cream

Peaches & Cream is a pale pink creme. Again, the press release says there is opalescent shimmer in this but I don’t see it. This had a more even formula than Alabaster for me. This is three thin coats. I kind of like it as far as nudes go because it makes my nails look shiny and healthy.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer Almond

Almond is an opaque light taupe creme. This is the bottle that broke, and of course it’s the one I like the most. This definitely has the most pigmentation and had a great formula. This was just two coats.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer Mocha

Mocha is a light mocha with silver shimmer. It’s actually a frost, which isn’t my favorite finish. It applies a little bit brush-stroke-y because of the frostiness. This was two coats.

You can find Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer on their website or at

Will you be trying out any of their nail shades? If you check their site there are some really interesting looking shades!
