Deborah Lippmann Happily Ever After

Gettin’ hitched this summer and wondering what nail shade to wear? Perhaps the Sephora exclusive Deborah Lippmann Happily Ever After set will help you!

This set includes three mini bottles of polish with a new finish for the brand called matteen. Matteen is a silky looking matte with a soft shimmer. All three of these shades are soft, and perfect for the summer bridal season.

As far as application, I’m not going to lie, there were some issues. I do think one of my bottles was bad however, and that was the one which caused the most problems for me.

Deborah Lippmann Going To The Chapel

Going To The Chapel

Going To The Chapel is a soft white. This is the one where I had the most problems. My bottle was very clumpy and almost dried out. So when I applied it it was a streaky nightmare. This is two coats.

Deborah Lippmann Endless Love

Endless Love

Endless Love is a soft pastel pink. Much better application with this one. You do still have to work carefully to get each coat as even as possible because it does want to be brush-stroke-y. This is two coats.

Deborah Lippmann Something Blue

Something Blue

Something Blue is a medium blue. I love this shade so much with this finish. This is definitely my favorite one. It too was a little brush-stroke-y, but not too bad. This is two coats.

Overall: I like the matteen finish but it is a bit hard to work with. I do like Endless Love, but really only loved Something Blue. If it was sold in a full-size by itself, I would buy it!

Availability: Sephora exclusive.

Pricing: $29.00 for 3 bottles at 0.27 oz each.

Yea or nay to the new matteen finish?
