L.A. Girl Glazed vs. Too Faced Melted

Hello and happy Friday again!

This is going to be a really quick post with a much more in-depth one coming Monday afternoon.

As you might have heard, L.A. Girl recently released some lip shades called Glazed Lip Paint. People have been discussing that they might be dupes for the new Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks. I was really curious so I ordered them from their website last week.

I’ve played around with them and discovered they have a very different formula. They’re much more similar to OCC Lip Tars actually. None of the shades are dupes either for the Too Faced ones, though they look incredibly close in the packaging.

This is the applicator for L.A. Girl Glazed.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick-3

Here is the applicator for Too Faced Melted.

L.A. Girl Glazed vs. Too Faced Melted Swatches

L.A. Girl Blushing, Too Faced Nude, L.A. Girl Babydoll, Too Faced Peony, L.A. Girl Hot Mess, Too Faced Coral

I decided to do the swatches by how similar they looked in the tube so you could see the differences.

L.A. Girl Blushing is a medium mauve and obviously very different from the closest one from TF which is Nude.

L.A. Girl Babydoll is a bright, blue-based pink and again, different from the closest TF one, which is Peony.

L.A. Girl Hot Mess is a bright coral. While both this and TF Coral are coral, the L.A. Girl one is more orange and the TF one looks more peachy.

L.A. Girl Glazed vs. Too Faced Melted Swatches-2

L.A. Girl Bombshell, Too Faced Fuchsia, L.A. Girl Coy, Too Faced Violet, L.A. Girl Pin-Up, Too Faced Ruby

L.A. Girl Bombshell is a bright fuchsia. The TF Fuchsia shade is also a bright fuchsia but cooler toned and a little lighter and brighter.

L.A. Girl Coy is a medium purple. Violet from TF is lighter and more pink than Coy.

L.A. Girl Pin-Up is a bright cherry red. Ruby from TF is slightly deeper and maybe a little cooler toned.

As mentioned, stay tuned for a more in-depth review and comparisons to OCC Lip Tars on Monday – as well as lip swatches!

Have a great weekend!
