CK One Long Wear + Shine Nail Color

About two years ago Calvin Klein came out with a makeup and nail polish line called CK One Color. I believe I heard they already had one awhile back in Europe, but I think this is the first line here in the USA.

I had seen the collection at Ulta a few times and was always intrigued by the slightly futuristic looking white packaging. The last time I was there I decided to purchase a couple of the nail colors to try ’em out.

The CK One Long Wear + Shine Nail Color line comes in eleven shades. It has a wide, flat brush and a long-wear, shiny formula.

Polyester, Coal

The full line includes these shades:

CK One Long Wear + Shine Nail Color Polyester

Polyester is a deep olive green with light sea-green shimmer. Upon first glance this shade looks to be a creme. But there is that gorgeous shimmer hiding inside, though it’s subtle. The formula is a little on the thin side but I managed to do two coats and it covered very nicely.

CK One Long Wear + Shine Nail Color Coal

Coal is a black with multi-colored shimmer. The shimmer is a lot more obvious in this one compared to Polyester. Two coats covered my nails completely.

Overall: If you don’t like wide brushes you might not love these polishes, but for me the brushes worked nicely. I liked both of these shades, but wasn’t blown away by any of the other shades they have in the line. Most of the other shades are typical colors you can find pretty much anywhere. Another drawback is the price for the amount you get. I do have to say I love the shape of these bottles, and the white caps for some reason. They definitely stand out in my collection.

Availability: Ulta.

Pricing: $14.00 for 0.30 oz.

Have you tried anything from this line?
