Makeup Geek has some new Pigments out and I’ve got them for you this afternoon!
Remember awhile back I reviewed a bunch of these and rather liked them? One shade in particular was just incredible and that was called Liquid Gold. These are just as good, thankfully!
Makeup Geek Pigments come in little pots that are 0.05 oz. They are packed to the brim with powdery, shimmery goodness. The downside is they don’t come with a sifter inside of them. You can purchase a pack of 5 sifters for .75 cents but inserting them could be a messy proposition. Either way it’s going to be messy, but they are so soft and pretty it’s kind of worth it.
Nightlife is a light rose/brown shimmer.
Blitz is a medium reddish/brown shimmer.
Vegas Lights is an intense copper glitter.
Kryptonite is a mossy metallic green with gold.
Overall: All four of these swatched really nicely without a primer. Over a primer they get even better. I really love these shades for summer because they remind me of hot days and sultry nights. The first three really make blue eyes like mine pop! Kryptonite is nothing to sneeze at though, it’s beautiful. So the downside? Well as mentioned earlier they can be a bit messy and they do have some fallout issues, especially Vegas Lights, which is looser and more glittery than shimmery. But if you use an eye primer and tap off all the excess before applying, that helps. It also helps immensely if you do yours eyes before anything else so you can easily wipe off the fallout without messing up your face makeup.
