Make Up For Ever HD Blush for spring 2014 has arrived!
These new blushes are a “next generation” cream. They have a balance of silicone oils, dry oils and waxes which are supposed to help with blending. Silica powders and synthetic mica ensure a smooth easy to wear texture and also helps with a soft-focus finish. Clear mother-of-pearl and pigments help give these blushes a natural color with a luminous finish for a radiant glow.
They come in sixteen colors from light to medium to tan to deep shades, with both cool and warm undertones. The compact is really small, easy to carry and has a mirror inside.
That’s all the technical info from the press release. Below is my take!
330 is a medium rose pink.
410 is a bright peachy/coral.
215 is a light warm pink.
225 is a light peachy pink.
210 is a bright cool-toned pink.
Overall: I wore 210 yesterday and was very happy with my experience. First of all I just dabbed it on with my fingers, although you can use a blush brush if you want (I’m lazy). It lasted the entire day, including through a sweaty walk I took, and into the evening when I finally took it off. I love all five of these shades, they are all the kinds of blush colors I find myself wearing 99% of the time. They are nicely pigmented, not sticky and no weird texture or scent. The compacts are super lightweight and small, which makes traveling with them really convenient. They are on the more expensive side though.
Availability: Sephora, Make Up For Ever boutiques this month.
Pricing: $26.00 for 0.09 oz.
Will you be trying any of these new blushes out?
