Urban Decay Naked2 has been out for quite awhile now, but it wasn’t one I thought I needed until recently.
You see, they came out with Naked3. And I already had Naked (warning the Naked photos are horrendous, before I knew what I was doing). I cannot possibly have 1 and 3 and not 2! This doesn’t work with my all consuming need to own all the collectible things in numerated order. If they hadn’t come out with Naked3, I cannot say I would have ever gotten Naked2. But I am glad I did. 🙂
Naked2 focuses on more taupe-y shades. Naked is more bronze-y and Naked3 is more rose-y. I much prefer the packaging with this and Naked3 because the metal hinged casings feel more sturdy.
Another difference between the palettes is that Naked comes with a dual-ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero and Whiskey, Naked2 comes with a double-ended Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush and Naked3 comes with a double-ended Good Karma Shadow/Blending Brush.
Foxy is a pale beige matte.
Half-Baked is an intense metallic old gold.
Bootycall is a shimmery pale pink/champagne.
Chopper is an intense metallic copper with sparkles.
Tease is a deep taupe matte.
Snakebite is a medium warm brown shimmer.
Suspect is a medium shimmery bronze/taupe.
Pistol is a deep shimmery taupe/grey.
Verve is a light silvery/taupe.
YDK is a shimmery rose gold.
Busted is a dark cool-toned chocolate brown.
Blackout is a black matte.
Overall: I have always wondered if I should purchase it, and now I’m glad I did. I kind of feel like if I went on vacation all I would ever need are these three palettes and I would be set for like 6 months! While I don’t necessarily think I *needed* it when I had Naked already, it does have some slightly different tones and shades. I don’t even know which one would be my favorite of the three palettes. I still love the original one because it was so damn fabulous when it came out. I’m also loving Naked3 because it’s pretty different. So I think if I had to choose this one would be in third place, but I still like it a lot!
Which of the Naked palettes do you own?
