Urban Decay Naked Skin Beauty Balm and Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder for spring 2014 are coming out tomorrow!
Ok actually one isn’t a new product but more of a shade extension. Naked Skin Beauty Balm used to only come in one “universal” shade. But now that shade has been renamed “Medium” and they came out with a Light and Dark shade as well. I reviewed the original one awhile back and really liked it, and still do!
Light has more of a pink undertone to it than Medium, and it works well with shades 0.5 to 3.5.
Medium works well with shades 3.0 to 7.0.
Dark works well with shades 6.0 to 12.0.
Naked Skin Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder is a new product that comes in five shades.
This loose powder is demi-matte and contains microbeads of hydration that burst when you apply the powder, which helps it glides easily onto the skin. It feels extremely silky and weightless and it’s free of parabens, oil, alcohol and fragrance. It’s so lightweight it feels like you aren’t wearing any powder at all.
Light works with shades 0.5 to 3.0.
Medium Light works with shades 2.0 to 4.0.
Medium works with shades 4.5 to 6.5.
Medium Dark works with shades 6.0 to 8.0.
Dark works with shades 8.0 to 12.0.
I’m loving the sifter, which is shaped like the UD icon.
Overall: Well I am happy to see they added two shades to the Beauty Balm line because I know a lot of people weren’t happy with just one universal shade. Now more people can enjoy this stuff! I like the powder because it’s so incredibly silky, smooth and lightweight. It doesn’t settle into pesky fine lines and it doesn’t look powdery. I’m always looking for a nice powder to set my makeup that doesn’t look at ALL cake-y or make me look older, and this one works really nicely.
Availability: Starting January 14th at Urban Decay.
Pricing: Naked Skin Beauty Balm is 34.00 for 1.18 oz. Naked Skin Ultra Definition Loose Finishin Powder is $34.00 for 0.28 oz.
