Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Plastic Passion Nail Lacquer

Why hello there people of Earth. How are you doing?

I’ve got your first look at the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Plastic Passion Nail Lacquer for spring 2014, and there are some really cool shades here!

These had a sneak preview at IMATS LA this past weekend and I was able to get my grubby little hands on them. They will be on sale February 1st.

There are six new shades in the collection. Two of them have a pearl finish, three are pastel-ish cremes and one is a metallic shimmer. They had a really nice formula and most covered in just two coats. I love how perfectly spring-like these look.

Disclaimer: My nails are thrashed right now for some reason, so please forgive the state they are in!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Plastic Passion Nail Lacquer-3

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Vapid

Vapid

Vapid is a pale lavender/pink creme. This was two coats and it covered really well with no streaks.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Seething

Seething

Seething is a pearly medium pink. Because this has a pearl/frosty finish it does get a little brush-stroke-y, so be careful with application. This was two coats.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Pool Boy

Pool Boy

Pool Boy is a intense pastel blue creme. It’s bright and super pretty with nary a streak in sight. This was two coats.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Pleasure Model

Pleasure Model

Pleasure Model is a pale pearly pink. This one has the same finish as Seething, so it does want to show brush strokes more. This is three thinner coats.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Deven Green

Deven Green

Deven Green is a VERY bright green creme. It’s not neon, but close. It’s really amazing in person, my camera kind of kept freaking out when I was shooting it. I think this will be the fan fave. This was two coats and it has a perfect formula.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer Automation

Automation

Automation is a warm gold metallic with pink shimmer running throughout. This has a thinner formula so even with three coats it didn’t completely cover my nail tips. It’s very warm and orange-y/yellow-y, so it really clashes with my skin tone unfortunately. Cool shade though, just not great on me.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Plastic Passion Nail Lacquer Collection

Overall: I really love the formula of the cremes especially because they covered really nicely and completely with just two coats. The pearl finish shades aren’t my favorites because they tend to show brush strokes rather easily. I like Automation a lot, it just doesn’t work for me because it’s so warm. Deven Green is completely amazing, it’s the MUST HAVE if you can only get one.

Availability: February 1st at Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and Sephora.

Pricing: $10.00 for 0.5 oz.
