So check this out. Milani has added six new shades to their Color Statement Lipstick line for 2014. Yahoo!
Now I’ve reviewed all the current ones already and I love them. They are really fabulous lip shades, especially considering the modest price. Yes, there is that pesky melon scent/flavor to deal with, which these ones also have, but it’s not enough to deter me from wearing them.
Color Statement Lipsticks have vitamins A, C and E for moisture and feel lightweight, creamy and are very opaque. Also, for those who want to know, they are paraben-free.
Sugar Glaze is a pale peachy pink. This one has a very strange almost gritty texture.
Cabaret Blend is a deep, rich wine red creme. Intense!
Pink Love is a cool-toned pink creme. This one settled quite a bit into my lip lines right away, which I don’t love.
Rose Femme is a light pinkish/tan creme.
Pretty Natural is a medium rose pink creme.
Cinnamon Spice is a shimmery brown/red. Shimmery with no grit!
Overall: More fun shades, yahoo! I like Rose Femme and Pretty Natural because they are great kind of neutral shades. Pink Love is a fun bright pink but I don’t love how the formula looks on me. Sugar Glaze is a pretty shade but it felt really gritty. Cabaret Blend is a beautiful dramatic shade. Cinnamon Spice is a nice shade and has a smooth finish.
Availability: February 2014 in drugstores.
