Deborah Lippmann Sweet Reveries

Deborah Lippmann Spring Reveries for spring 2014 is here!

This collection of six new pastel shades was inspired by Deborah’s love for botanical gardens and flowers. And I have to say I can 100% see that in each and every one of these shades. This is a collection I was SUPER excited to see in person and it turned out to be even better than I had hoped.

Five of the six shades here are cremes and they cover with just two glorious coats. One is a soft shimmer and it took three thinner coats. I love seeing pastel shades because it reminds me that spring is nearly here! These also remind me of an ice cream shop or something. Looking at the bottles together makes me really happy!

Deborah Lippmann Build Me Up Buttercup

Build Me Up Buttercup

Build Me Up Buttercup is a soft, buttery yellow creme. This is the perfect shade of yellow for my skin tone. Not too cool, not too orange, just right.

Deborah Lippmann Flowers In Her Hair

Flowers In Her Hair

Flowers In Her Hair is a soft mint creme. This is a really subdued mint compared to some stronger ones we have seen in seasons past. Loving this shade.

Deborah Lippmann Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Tip Toe Through The Tulips

Tip Toe Through The Tulips is a pale peach creme. So lovely!

Deborah Lippmann La Vie En Rose

La Vie En Rose

La Vie En Rose is a pastel pink with pink and gold shimmer. This one is a bit sheer and a little on the uneven side even with a base coat and three thin coats. I like the shade and the shimmer is so glow-y, but it might work better with a white or pink underneath it.

Deborah Lippmann Blue Orchid

Blue Orchid

Blue Orchid is a baby blue creme. In person it looks a little periwinkle-ish to my eye. Very pretty.

Deborah Lippmann Spring Buds

Spring Buds

Spring Buds is a pistachio green creme. I think this might be my favorite one. Ok so remember awhile back she came out with a Footloose collection? There was a pistachio green in that set called Almost Paradise, which was beautiful. This is not a dupe for that. This one is much softer and more pastel. That was brighter, much more green and less yellow-ish looking than this one.

Deborah Lippmann Spring Reveries Nails

This is the NOTD I am currently wearing. So fun! Also, my thumb looks HUGE.

Deborah Lippmann Spring Reveries Collection

Overall: Ok so I see a lot of nail polish. I mean A LOT. Sometimes it takes quite a bit to get me super excited about a collection. I am really giddy over this one! I love that the shades are soft creamy pastels but not chalky or streaky. I love how they all look together and the formula is really good. My favorites are Build Me Up Buttercup, Spring Buds and Flowers In Her Hair, but I also like the others!
