Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Swatches & Review

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm

I need another lip shade like I need a hole in my head. But here I am, yet again, with some new Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm shades.

These were on the same display as the Matte Balms, which I reviewed already. These ones though are glossy and have a lighter, slightly more see-through finish.

So again I found myself having to choose just four shades. I think there were eight in all, but I can’t remember for sure. The barrel shades match the inside pretty much, so that helps with choosing!

Vivacious is a bright warm pink.

Demure is a very pale light pink with slight shimmer.

Flirtatious is a bright red with slight shimmer.

Whimsical is a somewhat sheer purple with slight shimmer.

Overall: I liked these but they weren’t what I was expecting. Somehow I thought they were going to be super pigmented glosses. They are on the softer side but still really pretty. I especially like Vivacious and Flirtatious, but I could see wearing Demure with a smoky eye.

Availability: Walgreens, drugstores.

Pricing: $9.49 (I got mine at buy one get one 50% off).

What do you think about these? Do you prefer the Matte Balms better?

I didn’t wind up getting any of these when I first saw them a few weeks ago & I am glad about that. The matte ones are definitely much better.

If any, I’ll pick up Vivacious. Looks to be a really pretty color. On a Revlon note, I’m still pretty hooked on their Lip Butters. I always have Red Velvet, Fig Jam, Sugar Plum and Lollipop in my handbag. Love the saturation of color and they don’t dry my lips at all!

I actually just bought Demure the other day and I LOVE it. My skin has really pink undertones, so most nude lipsticks look…wrong on me. I finally found my “nude but better” shade.

I would get demure, but overall i prefer the matte ones.

Vivacious is very pretty! I’ll nab that color if I find one. I wasn’t sure about the Lacquer Balms but I really do like that color. I’m still trying to get more of the matte shades but every time I find a display the matte half is missing. Or every color has been “tested”. D:< These have the worst "seal" (a tiny clear sticker tab that does nothing to stop people from opening them with ease). I hope I can find more unadulterated shades! I love them! :D

I ended up getting two of these and two of the mattes because at walgreens this week they were 40% off with a $2 store coupon and $2 mfc so I went kind of nuts… Demure is amazing and I almost didn’t pick it up and Femme Fatale was my go to all week even though when I swatched in the car after I bought it I was bummed.

I’m not sure I’ll be getting these right away, but Vivacious is an apt name for the shade! ;)

I know they aren’t stains, but how well does the color last on the lips? Are they kind of more like the Kissable Lip Butters in that respect?

These are pretty, but sort of meh to me – not exciting or interesting in any way. Will skip. Thanks for the swatches!

I bought three of the lacquer balms and I too thought they would be more pigmented. It takes me several swipes for color payoff. And I don’t care for the minty flavor tho I like the colors. I’m definitely going back to exchange one for the flirtatious after seeing your swatch as I love that lighter red shade!

I just picked up Vivacious, but haven’t worn it yet. Glad to see it looks so pretty on!
