Pixi Colour Me Gorgeous

Pixi Colour Me Gorgeous for fall 2013 features three nail shades perfect for a darker, moodier season.

These three new shades are three-free, cruelty free and have built-in UV protection to help prevent polish discoloration. They do come in smaller bottles but I actually think the size is kind of nice. I so very rarely go through an entire bottle of polish, so this size doesn’t bother me that much. Plus I like how these small narrow bottles easily fit into tight spaces in my nail drawers. It’s the small things in life. 😉

The formula was really good with these. Precious Pewter covered beautifully in two coats. Charcoal Celebration required three thin coats and Deepest Dahlia was super glossy and deep with just two coats.

Pixi Colour Me Gorgeous Collection

Overall: I really like Precious Pewter, I think it’s a really nice multi-dimensional shade. Charcoal Celebration and Deepest Dahlia, while nice, aren’t that original looking. Having said that, I have been noticing a lot of brands this fall and holiday season have a super shiny, vampy creme in their collection. I am kind of starting to love them! They look so classy on shorter nails, I think.

Availability: Target

Pricing: $8.00 for 0.25 oz.

What do you think about these shades? Do you like smaller bottles because you have tons of polish you can’t go through, or prefer larger bottles for the price?
