CoverFX CC Cream

Guess what? I finally tried out a CC Cream I actually liked! That worked! That wasn’t completely useless! And it actually covered stuff! Stuff I wanted covered!

Cover FX CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment is a new item and comes in nine shades. This CC Cream treats, corrects and protects skin with time-released anti-aging goodies. It also has an SPF of 30, is vegan and contains no gluten, mineral-oil, fragrance, parabens or talc.

The shade range I chose was N30-N40, which is a medium neutral range. In other Cover FX items I’ve used, N35 was a good match for me.

N Medium

So it turns out for some reason N Medium in this formula was just a bit too dark for my face for some reason. I think maybe the N10-N20 range would have been better which is suited to light neutral shades.

But I loved the formula and coverage this provided. Other CC Creams I’ve tried basically seemed like they did absolutely nothing whatsoever. They never added anything other than SPF and maybe some moisture.

This one definitely gave me really nice coverage. It covered all the icky skin things I don’t want people seeing (darker spots, red dots, pores, uneven color, etc.) and it almost felt like a foundation in terms of thickness and coverage. I think it’s the closest thing to a foundation out of any BB or CC Cream I’ve ever tried.

It wasn’t greasy looking and not drying either. It lasted on me all day with no creasing and no shininess to speak of.

Overall: I am really impressed with this coverage. It felt nice on, never heavy or greasy and was easy to blend out. I wore it over my standard SPF moisturizer and it played nicely with it on top. A little goes a long ways so the bottle won’t get used up super quickly either.

Availability: Cover FX and Sephora.

Pricing: $45.00 for 1 oz. If you order now through September 30th you can use code “VAMPY” at checkout for free shipping (on the Cover FX site)!

Have you tried any CC Creams you loved? Is this something you would try out?
