It’s been a bit since I’ve reviewed a full Nubar collection, but I am very happy to be reviewing the new Eden Collection!
Nubar has long been a favorite brand of mine because of their beautiful, unique shades and most excellent formula. They also happen to have my favorite top coat called Diamont, which I have talked about for years now a zillion times. It’s quick-dry, self-leveling, thick and super shiny. I’ve bought more Diamont bottles than any other top coat ever I think!
This collection features intense, rich, bright colors in some super fun shades. There are cremes, holo glitters and some amazing shimmers as well. The formula was pretty darn great with most of these. A few were a bit thicker so you have to make sure you get a nice even coat. All were 2-3 coats.
Moss Mistress is a chartreuse creme. It’s a little more on the green side than the yellow side. It’s so amazing. This is the color of that famous Nicole Kidman Dior dress which she looked freakin’ fabulous in. The formula was really nice and it covered perfectly in two coats. Perfect weird shade!
Calla Lily Caramel is a sheer-ish caramel brown shade with heavy pink shimmer. It starts off really sheer and very thin, but it does build up after three thin shades. This one gave me the most grief with the formula because it didn’t want to cover my nail tips completely.
Dare you to Dragonfly is a bright turquoise creme. This is a delicate balance of blue and green but leans slightly towards green. Gorgeous and rich shade. This is a thicker formula so work with thinner coats to avoid what happened on my pinky finger. 😉
Rockin’ The Garden is a medium blue with light blue/green shimmer. This shade is so, so, so pretty in person, this photo doesn’t do it justice. it’s on the thinner side so I used three coats.
A-Peel-Ing is a vivid orange with gold shimmer. This is another stunner. Very intense color, bright, fun and mesmerizing. It dries almost matte, just so you know. This was three thin coats.
Tulips To Kiss You With is a bright neon pink with heavy silvery/pink shimmer. So bright! Great hot pink for the summer and great formula with just two coats.
Wild Blue Yonder is a blue shade with gold and holographic micro-shimmer. I love the combo of the blue and gold with this shade, it makes it look different than some other blues with just holo glitter. Nice formula, it might be the slightest bit streaky if you aren’t careful. This was two coats.
Dahlia Up Later is a bright feminine pink with holographic micro-glitter. A very pretty shade with a great formula. The holo glitter isn’t super strong and it’s just kind of lightly scattered throughout. This was two coats.
Overall: Nubar is every bit as amazing as I remembered. The shades here are all really nice, but I am especially loving Moss Mistress, A-Peel-Ing, Rockin’ The Garden, Dare To Dragonfly and Dahlia Up Later. Great formula, great brand.
So what do you guys think about Nubar Eden? Is there anything here you are lusting after?
