Estee Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick

This fall Estee Lauder introduces six new limited edition Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipsticks in The Metallics collection. NOT the Metallica collection. Although that would be really cool but I don’t feel like Estee Lauder would be the right brand for them. Maybe Illamasqua?

I am nuts.

ANYWAY there are six shades (Burnished Bronze, Glow Fuchsia, Hot Lava, Gilded Honey, Coral Halo and Mirrored Orchid) and I’ve got two of them.

Gilded Honey, Hot Lava

Gilded Honey is a soft caramel shade with golden shimmer. A lovely shade, almost neutral, and great texture. It doesn’t feel gritty or look harshly metallic.

Hot Lava is a hot deep red with red shimmer. Another great shade and this one seems more metallic to my eye.

Overall: I only tried out two but the two I tried were nice. I like the texture and they have really nice payoff as well. I wouldn’t say they are the most moisturizing creamy lipsticks on earth, but they don’t feel super dry either. I detect a cinnamon scent and taste to them, which is kind of odd.

Availability: Estee Lauder counters and online.

Pricing: $26.00.

How are you feeling about these lipsticks?
