Of all the BB Creams I have tried, and I have tried A LOT, I am rather surprised that until recently the Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm wasn’t one of them! How did that happen?
Now that I have tried it in my correct shade, which is Vanilla Glow, I really like it and am happy to have it in my makeup repertoire.
Here’s the deets on what it offers:
- Broad spectrum, chemical-free SPF 20
- Sheer radiant finish in 6 shades
- An anti-aging multi-mineral complex
- Moisturizers and is oil-free
- Use alone as a primer or under a foundation
Vanilla Glow it turns out is my perfect shade. This doesn’t surprise me because I am almost always the second shade in any line. I tried Cream Glow before this but it was too dark for me and I know Snow Glow, which is the lightest, is too pale.
Vanilla Glow is for fair skin with a golden undertone. The texture is lightweight and offers a somewhat sheer finish. Having said that, sheer doesn’t necessarily mean it doesn’t do anything. It also acts as a primer, so it helps hide all those annoying pores and other small things you might want covered up. It doesn’t look like you’re wearing any makeup on your face, but rather your skin just looks nice and more even.
It feels very light and comfortable on the skin, never oily or dry, just right. They say it has a radiant finish but that doesn’t mean shimmery or sparkly. It just very slightly makes you look “glowy” if that makes sense. It’s subtle but there.
Overall: I like it because it makes my skin look really naturally nice, not makeup-y. It does a great job of keeping t-zone oil at bay and the color matches my skin very nicely. This is great for hot summer days especially when you want some coverage but you need to feel like you’re wearing nothing heavy on your skin.
Pricing: $34.00 for 1.5 oz.
