Wet n Wild Pop Art Coloricon Eye Shadow Trio Swatches and Review

Wet n Wild Pop Art Coloricon Eye Shadow

Wet n Wild Pop Art Coloricon Eye Shadow is a new limited edition summer collection that will be out in a hot minute.

Pop Art features six new Coloricon Eye Shadow Trios, which is great! I love a good array of shadows to look forward to. I know people are going to be hunting these down like crazed zombies hunt down juicy human flesh, but they won’t start coming into stores until July, so until then, chill people, chill. ;)

Quite a few of these are matte shadows. In fact most are, but there are some satiny soft ones thrown in here for good measure. They come in white palettes this time and each one contains a sponge and brush applicator (which I promptly threw away). I have swatched them all over an eyeshadow primer.

To Muse and Carouse features a pale apricot matte, a deep warm satiny brown and a pale bright blue matte. Both of the mattes were a little chalky when unblended but they do blend nicely and you can slightly build them up. The brown is gorgeous, rich and perfect. I love this color combination.

Three’s A Party

Three’s A Party features an icy bright white matte, an intense satiny red and a black matte. The red was surprisingly even and saturated. The black was pretty nice and buildable, the white a tiny bit chalky. Hard colors to pull off, I don’t think I could make these work and not look like I was insane, but I know some people who could!

First off I LOVE the name A Regular at the Factory for some reason. So cute and retro sounding.

First we have a pale shimmery yellow, then a bright medium blue with slight sheen then a medium orange matte. The orange was a little chalky but nothing to complain about too much. I love all three of these shades, they’re super fun.

I’m Seeing Triples! features a bright grass green matte, a deep but bright blue matte and a mauve with slight sheen. Both mattes had the same slight chalky thing as the rest but the mauve was super soft and easy to apply.

Hard Being the It Girl has a pale matte pink, a vivid blue matte with slight sheen and a pale satiny vanilla. These were decently pigmented and felt rather soft. Love the blue especially!

Your 15 Minutes Aren’t Up! includes a bright yellow matte, a satiny purple and a medium matte pink with slight satin. The yellow was a little chalky but the other two were nice.

Overall: I like the white palettes but some were a little hard to open for me for whatever reason. I love that there are so many colorful fun shades to chose from – perfect for summer. I do wish the matte shades were less chalky and easier to get great pigmentation out of. My favorites ones are To Muse and Carouse, A Regular at the Factory and Hard Being the It Girl.

Availability: These are limited edition and will be released starting in July at drugstores.

Pricing: $2.99.

What do you think about this Pop Art Eye Shadow collection? Anything you will be hunting down like a starved flesh-eating zombie?

These are so pretty I just don’t know if I could pull them off. I think I’m going to pass on these and hope everyone else gets their hands on them. I’d love to see some looks created with these though so I am excited for them to be released.

They all look exciting and worth a try, especially for the low price point. The one I love most is To Muse and Carouse!!

I love all of these and would like To Muse and Carouse, but I have never been able to find WNW Limited Edition anything around me, and boy have I hunted/stalked!!!! So now I don’t even bother. Anyway will be passing because I like immediate gratification on makeup purchases and don’t like to buy online and wait. This was a great review though. It was nice to finally see good shots of the colors!

Hahahaha hunting down like zombies….love it!

I’m not too fond of these…sadly. I feel like the colors are a bit too out there. I usually stick to the neutral palettes. But the colors sure do look fun!

I think these definitely have some unique colors that I’ve never seen before. I’m not sure I would wear them at once but I think they would be great paired with a neutral shadow for a pop of color.

Seeing as I have Warhol stuff all over my walls… I need these asap! I am obsessed with The Factory and all the people there. I cannot wait to get these. I better be able to find them or I’ll go mad! I can never seem to find the WNW limited edition palettes now.

When you say they were hard to open, do you mean the stickers were hard to get off or the actual compacts were hard to open? I found these today and for some reason the seals/stickers were ridiculously difficult for me to get off, I chipped several nails then resorted to tweezers (and it still took forever!). But, once they were off, the compacts opened easily.

Well yeah the stickers are a real PITA, but this time for some reason the actual palettes were harder for me to open.

I agree.. this time the actual palettes were hard to open! I even compared them to the regular ones… but I did notice that after opening the white one a few times it became just like the regular ones… thankfully!!
