Maalouf Nail Polish

Maalouf Nail Polish is a fairly new creation by the four Maalouf brothers. Perhaps you have heard of them?

Joey Maalouf is the hair dresser for Rachel Zoe and is frequently on her show. They are all either hair or makeup artists. They have a full-service salon in Birmingham, Michigan and they sell this new nail collection online.

The nail polish line consists of fourteen shades in various finishes. The bottles aren’t full-sized, I think they are 0.3 oz, but the pricing is pretty nice for the size. The formula was really good for all three that I tested out. Two creamy coats get you all the coverage you need.

Maalouf Jewelry Box
Jewelry Box

Jewelry Box is a light “Tiffany” blue shade type of shade with a hint of shimmer running throughout. Love this color and love me anything that is close to Tiffany blue! Sidenote: I’ve mentioned this before, but for those who don’t know, Tiffany blue is actually a patented color, so you won’t ever find a shade that matches exactly! This polish is thick but not too hard to work with and just two coats.

Maalouf Joey After Midnight
Joey After Midnight

Joey After Midnight is a deep cobalt blue creme. I love this shade because it’s deep and subdued but also somehow really bright and intense. It almost has a satin or wax-like finish without a top coat. This was two coats.

Maalouf Provocative
Provocative

Provocative is a jet black creme. Nothing unique here obviously, but still a nice shiny black and just two coats.

Maalouf Nail Polish Collage

Overall: From what I saw, I like! The formula was really nice with all three, easy to apply, no streaks, nothing sheer. Only two coats covers completely, and Jewelry Box and Joey After Midnight are gorgeous shades.

Availability: Maalouf Salon website.

Pricing: $9.00 for (I think) 0.3 oz.

What do you think about these shades?
