Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder

Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder

Urban Decay has re-launched their De-Slick Mattifying Powder. It comes in a really pretty purple lucite compact, and is replacing the current compact in my purse!

Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder-2

Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder-3

The powder is made from rice powder and it’s lightweight, invisible and sucks up all the oil. Yay!

Availability: Macy’s, Sephora, Urban Decay.

Pricing: $32.00.

I bought the bare minerals touch up veil in translucent because I was getting t-zone shine around 1pm every day. It sounds like a similar product. It definitely eliminates ALL the shine! However, I’m not sure it’s my favorite product. I look quite powdery for about 5 minutes after applying with a light hand. I think it’s best for very oily skin. Blotting papers are really all i need to get the job done :) Does this product leave you looking powdery for a while?

Not powdery, but definitely matte. It’s pretty completely invisible on me, but I only touched up once.

I have this powder.. but I dunno – I’m not in love with it. But given that, I do have extremely dry skin, so I’m not too focused on mattifying my skin haha.

I don’t really like on me, and actually, I didn’t like any of the De-Slick products I’ve tried so far.

I just got this powder on tuesday but haven’t tried it yet for fear of not liking it :/. I’m very oily so if it works, it’ll be a godsend!

As someone who has extremely oily skin I’m hooked on this stuff. I hate applying it with the pad that comes with the compact though. It applies it too heavily and it can give skin a whitish cast before it sinks in. I like to apply it with a mini kabuki brush after moisturizer/foundation. It buffs on totally invisible and keeps the grease at bay for an extra 3-4 hours. Then I just use a blotting sheet and a bit more powder and I’m matte again for a few more hours.

I’m just curious how it is different from the previous version? I absolutely love this stuff! I cannot go without it. My skin is super oily and it’s a lifesaver.
