Finger Paints Wild About Spring Swatches and Review

Finger Paints Wild About Spring

Somehow the Finger Paints Wild About Spring collection wasn’t on my radar! But I was recently at Sally Beauty Supply, saw it and picked up a few of the coolest looking ones.

Prepare yourself for some delicious iridescence, shimmer and duochrome effects!

Finger Paints Wild About Spring-2
I Spy-Der, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Avante Garde Green

Finger Paints I Spy-Der
I Spy-Der

I Spy-Der is a cotton candy pink base with tons of iridescent blue and pink shimmer. Somehow it reminds me of a fairy. It’s a really flattering and feminine shade of pink. Delicate. I adore the shimmer, it’s so pretty. It was a little bit on the thick side but not that hard to work with. I did need three thin coats for complete coverage. If you get too much on the nail it tends to glob-up, so work slowly.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Itsy Bitsy Spider is a medium muted lavender with blue duochrome and tons of blue and purple shimmer. Gorgeous shade! It is a little sheer and thin at first, but after three coats it becomes opaque. Love these kinds of shades.

Finger Paints Avante Garde Green
Avante Garde Green

Avante Garde Green is a deep emerald green shimmer. This is a great jewel-toned green, very rich. The formula was really nice, just two coats covered completely and no streaks or other issues.

Finger Paints Wild About SpringCollage

Overall: These three are all really nice shades, but Itsy Bitsy Spider stands out to me the most! Two of them are three-coaters, but that’s not a big deal for me since I tend to be a three-coater by habit. The first two especially scream spring and “fresh flowers” to me.

Availability: Sally Beauty Supply.

Pricing: $5.59 (or $4.49 with club card).

Did you pick anything up from this collection?

I don’t really buy any Finger Paints polish, but I think I might have to start – Love I Spy-der and Itsy Bitsy Spider!

I Spy-Der is really cute! The only one I got from this collection is Fishin’ For Fun.

Itsy Bitsy Spyder reminds me of RBL’s Scrangie for some reason… not as purple-y, but it does have a resemblance. These are pretty, but I don’t feel compelled to buy them.

I can see the slight resemblance.

I love Itsy Bitsy Spider… and I would have never noticed it if my best friend had not picked it out for me at Sally’s.

Interestingly, Avant Garde Green looks a little like a dupe for Essie Dive Bar, although maybe a hair greener.

I haven’t tried many FIngerPaints polishes, but I’ll bet that Itsy Bitsy Spider would look incredible when layered over black!

Is Avante Garde Green really part of the spring collection? I thought that had been around for a few years now. :/

I love these colors! It’s interesting that Avante Garde Green is in this collection because I’m pretty sure it’s been around for a while and is actually in the permanent line. I already own it and have had it for a while! I really want Itsy Bitsy Spieder though!
