Blue, green, pink, purple polka dot mani

Today I’ve got a T-shirt inspired polka dot mani.

Target has some really cool multi-colored striped t-shirts out right now and I recently picked up two. I showed them on my Instagram account and someone mentioned they would make a cool manicure. So I wound up with this idea!

For this I used Orly Jealous, Much?, OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, Color Club In The Limelight and Zoya Breezi. I also used various sizes of dotting tools.

These are the closest creams shades I could find in my collection to match the t-shirt. Pretty close I think!

Before the dots I painted on either two or three coats of the base shade and let it dry a good 15 minutes. Some of these aren’t really ideal formulas for dots since they are pretty sheer and watery.

One way to sort of remedy that is to plop the amount of polish you need for the dots onto foil (or whatever you put it on) and let it sit for a couple minutes, so it gets thicker. That helped me quite a bit, especially with Orly Jealous, Much, which is super watery.

Anyway, it’s not perfect certainly, but kind of fun and very spring-like!
