YSL La Laque Couture Jade Imperial Swatches & Review
I recently bought YSL Jade Impérial because, well because who can resist a dusty green creme? Not this girl!
This is just going to be a quickie post because as you may have noticed, my site’s been down for nearly 48 hours and I am trying to catch up on some things! Sorry again about that whole mess.
Jade Impérial is a medium dusty green creme. A jade green, but muted and mellowed out. I love it, what else can I say? The formula was really good, I had no streaking or other issues, and it covers perfectly in two coats.
The only caveat for most people is…the price. Le sigh.
Availability: I found it on Nordstrom’s site.
Pricing: $25.00 for 0.34 oz.
Yea or nay?
-Kelly
Note: YSL is not cruelty free (as far as I know)
Do you like this product?

Whoa, I need to check this out! I can’t believe I have to wait another week for this collection to be available here, but I’m definitely interested in both nail polishes!

I hear ya!
Do you think this might resemble OPI Mermaid’s Tears,Thanks a Windmillion, or Zoya Bevin?
Thanks for the swatch!
I don’t think I have either of those two OPI’s, but as far as Bevin it’s not really the same. Bevin is more of a sage green and this is definitely more jade. Here’s my Bevin swatch: http://www.vampyvarnish.com/2011/12/zoya-true-collection-spring-2012-swatches-photos-review
While I LOVE the color, I do not love the price and just would not pay that much for a polish.
Yeah that makes sense!
I love jade and mint colors, although I think this would be too dark for me, it looks lovely on your skin tone.

Thanks!
I would never pay that much for a polish!
I think a lot of people wouldn’t either!
I love the color, but not the price. You can buy a gallon of paint for less than $25. lol Wonder what the markup is on this. It would be nice to see if there was a close dupe out there for less.
I’ll be it’s something sickening like the polish is actually worth 2 cents per gallon, haha.

..seemed pretty thorough to me
Haha thanks!
Very pretty, kinda like that “greyed mint” color that was part of Pantone’s 2013 colors

I was waiting for this to come online in Austria, stalking the page, and finally I got it – and I’m so happy about this polish! It is very very pretty, and like you said, who can resist a dusty green creme?!

I dig the shade, but the price is high, so I probably won’t get it. If it were a multichrome, I would consider it more.
Hmm…don’t think I have anything from YSL!

I love the dustiness of this jade! I don’t mind paying this much for a shade that’s unique – not sure if this one is but if I don’t find a dupe, it’s on my to-buy list.
All the other brands are still selling jade colour nail polishes like hot cake. I think Chanel would make good money if they brought Jade back.
How close is this to Chanel Khaki Vert?
