Wet n Wild Coverall Cream Foundation Swatches & Review
So there is this new concealer from Wet n Wild called Coverall Cream Foundation.
This foundation comes in seven shades. So here’s the deal. The website describes the foundation different than the back of the tube does. Odd. I am going to describe it as the bottle says, since that was my experience anyway!
These foundations offer medium to full coverage, build-able coverage, and have a semi-matte finish. The bottle doesn’t say they have SPF in them anywhere, but the website does. I am going with they don’t, because it would be listed on the tubes.
The shades are:
- 815 – Fair
- 816 – Fair/Light
- 817 – Light
- 818 – Light/Medium
- 819 – Medium
- 820 – Medium/Tan
- 850 – Tan
For me, as per usual, the best shade was the second lightest one which is 816. It had a nice amount of yellow in it, so it matched my skin rather nicely.
I wore 816 over my standard moisturizer with SPF and was really impressed with it. I’m not sure I can remember the last time I wore a drugstore foundation and liked it. I tend to go for higher-end brands for foundation.
I liked that it covered really nicely and I could build it up in areas where I wanted more coverage. It felt creamy but is on the thick side. A little can go a long way depending on what coverage you want. Once on, it wasn’t too oily or dry/chalky looking. It has a semi-matte finish, which works for me because straight matte is too harsh, and some of the dewier finishes just make me look shiny and greasy.
It has a very slight “makeup” smell to it, but nothing to get offended over. It lasted on me all day and I never had to pat down any oil in my t-zone.
Overall: I like it! I am surprised that I liked it as much as I did because I haven’t had good luck with drugstore foundations in the past. For days when I want a heavier coverage than a BB Cream can offer, I will definitely be grabbing this one.
Pricing: $3.59 for 1 oz.
