Milani Color Statement Lipstick and Lip Liners in Pinks and Corals for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review
Are you ready for some super fabulous pink and coral lipsticks? Then look no further than the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and Lip Liners!
These seven new lipstick shades are so perfect for spring, even more so than the reds and oranges I recently reviewed. I think these will please more people since they are easier to wear (not as bright) and there are more variations in the actual shades this time around.
The two new Lip Liners are also great, every day shades that will go with a ton of nude/pink/coral lipstick shades.

Haute Pink is a warm medium pink.
All Natural is a medium tan/nude.
Pink Frost, Fruit Punch, Flamingo Pose, Rose Amour, Rose Hip, Hot Pink Rage, Flirty Fuchsia
Pink Frost is a pale, metallic pink frost. This is the only one I didn’t love because of the very 80′s finish.
Fruit Punch is a medium warm pink cream.
Flamingo Pose is a bright warm coral/pink cream.
Rose Amour is a medium cool-toned pink cream.
Rose Hip is a bright cool-toned pink cream.
Hot Pink Rage is a bright warm coral/pink matte.
Flirty Fuchsia is a bright cool fuchsia vinyl.

Overall: I loved the reds and oranges truly, but I love these even more. With the exception of Pink Frost, which I think is a very hard color to wear a. because the frost finish and b. because it’s a very pale pink, these are really wearable shades. None are so bright that you feel like you’re wearing a neon. They are all moisturizing, creamy and feel nice on the lips. And they are all different enough in color that you can buy them ALL (just kidding). These have the same melon scent and taste as the reds and oranges so keep that in mind. If I had to pick my favorite three I would choose Flamingo Pose, Hot Pink Rage and Rose Hip. But the others, especially Flirty Fuchsia, are great as well!

They all look great, just like the red/oranges! Haute Pink lip liner has to be my favourite colour with Pink Frost being my least favourite. Do people still buy and wear these light, frosty pinks?

I’ve been looking for a dupe for MAC Viva Glam Cyndi and Flamingo Pose looks like it might be close. I may have to check this out.
I really like Flirty Fuschia. I think I might be able to pull that one off…don’t think I could do much with the other shades.

I have always liked pinks and corals even when they were not all the most popular shades to wear – they look good on me. The past year or two I really have had to lay off ‘other’ brand lip products – they all seem to make my lips peal – something maybe about some body chemistry change? Don’t know. I stick with Tarte Lipsurgance and IT Cosmetics lip stains and a few lip balms and had to pitch all the rest of my lipsticks – no gloss even anymore – I think they were probably the worst culprit for pealing.
Love these! I’m so happy they changed the smell! The old ones smell like bad floral… ick! The colors are very pretty. I love them all except the frost one. I feel like frost should be left in a different era.

Aside from the frosty one, I would wear all of these products, including (actually, especially) the lip liners, that nude liner is beautiful.

My must-haves from the pink and corals: Flamingo Pose (such a great shade!!!), Hot Pink Rage (love the color and love that it’s matte!!!), and Flirty Fuchsia (again, great shade and I am in love with the vinyl finish!!!).
Rose Amour is a maybe for me. It’s really pretty but the other 3 shades I listed come first. Rose Hip would be on my must-have list but first…
I have a quick question. Aside from the fragrance, is there any difference between the new Rose Hip and the old Rose Hip?
So far I’ve bought Rose Hip twice already (once when it first came out and then again when Milani changed to the jewel-cut bullet). It is a color that I really love so…aside from the scent, is there any difference? Am I going to have to buy Rose Hip for the 3rd time?

Yes, Pink Frost in your swatches looks hard to wear, and I think because it’s so heavy on the frost, it looks a bit dated. However, all the other shades look like total wins!

These look amazing! I have to admit…its been awhile since I used drugstore lipsticks (the aftertaste! the stickyness! the dryness!) but these really look nice! I’ve tried Milani before and like that the stuff is made in Italy or Germany and not China.
I’m pretty much convinced I need all of these except that frosty one. Great swatches as always!

These are great! Like that they are a bit more variable than the reds, which were also pretty, but hard to distinguish from one another. My favorites are definitely Flamingo Pose and Hot Pink Rage.
